    Home build idea

It is definitely a light duty item. I don't know what shipping costs, but if it is reasonable; It looks fun for low power shooting.

My HW80 is on life support after bear trap injury

I inadvertently let go of the barrel of my old R1 after I thought the piston had been caught by the sear, but I realized a little too late that it had only started to catch. I loosened my grip on the barrel, and it snapped back to the closed position. I was able to slow it down a little, so I...

    Ugliest Weihrauch Springer EVER!

I like that blue lamo stock!!! I had a special edition R9 with that color stock. I liked it, but didn't care for the R9 itself - don't know why. I like the R10, but not the R9. I know I'm weird!

    Just Arrived - Beeman R1 Laser MK1

I got my R1 back in 1991, I think. It was originally .177, then .20, then .22, then .25, then back to .22. It had a Venom kit installed in the mid to late 90's, so it still fires with some vibration - twang is gone. It still shoots well.

    FWB Sport

I have a 124, but no Sport. I guess I should get one to keep the older brother company!!! The 124 was tuned by Motorhead, an is shooting about 880 fps with H&N Match so smoothly!

    Beeman P17

My P17 has been tuned by the previous owner. It has a 9.25" barrel that looks like it came from a Crosman or similar. He did some trigger work, and it is very nice. There is also a short aluminum air stripper on the end that acts as a moderator with the side holes taped over. It shoots at...

    Gamo compact. A dull pistol?

The Gamo came out nice! I was thinking of doing something similar to my Gamo, but got the FAS 604 instead. I also had a Gamo AF-10 that was like the Compact with a 10 round lead ball magazine over the air cylinder. The trigger was not as nice as the Compact, but it was a fun plinkiing pistol!

    Gamo compact. A dull pistol?

Ron, I still have FASsie-Mae! I took off the rail and weights, and shoot her when I want to be humbled. She still shoots so much better than me. Definitely better than the Gamo. The rail and weights are in the box with the pistol. I don't like optical sights on a pistol, and the open sights...

    Peep Sight Question

I have only had trouble pairing a low front sight with a taller match diopter front sight. Peeps work very well indeed, but my older eyes prefer the larger apertures.

What springer did you shoot today?

I shot my old early '90s R7 .20 cal., my BSA Supersport .22 cal., and a re-barreled Walther LG55 .20 cal. What fun in the back yard on a quiet early Sunday morning!!!

    New person here

Welcome, and the guys that advise ignoring the high velocity claims are right. My shoulders are still working - barely. At 72, after a wild and tempestuous youth that hurt all of my joints; I'm lucky to be in as good a shape as I am. For that I am very grateful. I can still cock the magnum...

    BEWARE OF SELLING ONLINE.

All those smart scammers! If only they used their intelligence for good instead of evil! I guess they found a way out of the corporate rat race, and exercising their twisted psyches at the same time.

Who else is lucky to be able to shoot in there backyard?

Well, I don't have the acreage that some of you enjoy shooting in, but I do have a half acre lot with 35 yards of shooting range in my back yard. Neighbors on three sides; with the back neighbors being down the hill. I'm also in North County San Diego, so the weather is good for shooting most...

I like the looks of that .22 BSA Lightning SE GRT! I had the earlier spring version of that gun, and it was hard to cock and a little harsh when firing. I think it may have been over sprung for the US market.
