Using CCI Quiets work great in a .22LR - they are a full size .22lr with a 40 gr, lead bullet, but at 710 fps, they are super quiet. They won't cycle a semi-auto, you have to rack each shot, but you should only need one. They drop raccoons like a sack of sand inside of 40-50 yards with a head shot.

Is there a prize for shortest longest confirmed kill? :-) I can't seem to be able to hit targets accurately at 50 yards or beyond, so I don't yet try to "hunt" at those distances. 35-40 yards is about the best I can do to consistently and accurately hit what I'm aiming at. Note that my...
