    Spring time in Montana

I shot five nice groups at 100 yards this morning and they were good enough to go get pictures, but not in this weather lol! Edit: At least this will slow down the ticks!

    Beeman HW30S & HW95N fun

I’m stuck inside dealing with a health issue and have been having such fun with my two favorite springers! I’m mostly a PCP shooter but there’s something about a quality break barrel that makes it so much fun. The way they work really makes you feel like you’re part of the rifle, cocking and...

    N/A Cleaning a new barrel

There are shops that claim that they test every rifle before it leaves their store. So I wonder if they are cleaning every barrel before the test, or if they are just shooting through the grease? I never hear anything about them cleaning the barrel before they test the rifle, just the claim that...

    Female house sparrow

Had a pair of English sparrows checking out the swallows nesting boxes. Plugged the female, that counts as five birds doesn’t it 😂. Thought I’d include the picture because it’s a good example of what the females look like. Very easy to mistake them for different breeds.

    Beeman Thanks Mike Ellingsworth!!!

I decided to send my new HW95N to Mike Ellingsworth for a tune, along with my friends R9 that had a broken spring. Mike jumped on them and I got them back quickly. Both rifles were flawless for the first 50 shots or so. Unfortunately both rifles began to bind and there was metal to metal galling...

    Beeman Morning shooting session

I start almost every morning with coffee and the forum. Then I do a 7 yard shooting session with my HW30. I try to get inside the circle without hitting a line, and then go back and do it again as many times as possible before hitting a line. Sitting in the recliner and shooting over a crossed...

    Beeman R9 Morning workout

My morning workout is from the recliner shooting the R9 at 7 yards. The top line of targets are three shot groups and the bottom is a ten shot group. The other groups were shot at 25 yards and there’s extra shots because I was seeing if I could correct the flyers. The flyers were me not the...

    Beeman R9 fun

A friend was shooting my S200 .177 PCP and marveled at the accuracy. He said he had bought a German springer years ago but that it was lousy and he had given up on it. I was delighted to see that it was a Beeman R9. Anyway he let me take it home to try different pellets. The main problem was the...

    70 yard headshot…but

I’m so surprised that I didn’t recover the chipmunk. I was shooting a steel gopher target at 70 yards when a chipmunk stood up on the rock by the target. I had the RedWolf .177 stacking slugs on the target and it was an easy shot from the rest and tail bag. You can see the rock at the top of...

    Iamzeetoastyone

Probably didn’t spell it right, I’m talking about Toasty, the guy who bought the property that was such a mess and was fixing it up. Has anyone heard from him lately? Hopefully he’s ok.

    Anyone tried this slug yet?

    Sorry! Click bait!

    Slug damage. Graphic 😬

Shot a chipmunk head on at 40 yards with the .177 RedWolf HP and a 13.43 knockout slug. It’s graphic, but it shows the devastation of these tiny slugs at 1020 fps. Definitely a humane kill!

Sitting on the 30 yard target

I had just shot two groups at 30 yards with my HW44 .117 when this chipmunk climbed up to the top of the target frame and took a neck shot. It was hitting high and I hadn’t moved the crosshairs yet so I held low and put one just over his head. Tried again and smacked him. These are such amazing...

.177 RedWolf HP at 130 yards.

Here’s the results of another shooting session with 13.43 grain knockout slugs going about 1000 fps at 130 yards using the RedWolf. The slugs are hitting the steel at a slight angle and splashing up and right. It was dead calm and perfect for shooting. The group in the first picture was going to...

PCP Rifle FS .22 RedWolf HP $1800

Sold. Final price $1800 shipped. I bought this rifle new from AOA a little over a year ago. It was damaged in shipping and was clipping pellets, I returned it for repair and requested everything replaced from the block forward. Shane replaced the barrel, shroud and moderator with new parts and...

    Excellent pellet!!

Has anyone tried these pellets yet? I just received them from AOA with my RedWolf that was repaired and returned. They look similar to the JSB redesigned but they have no weird flyers. Here’s groups shot by AOA at 50 yards using my RedWolf. I tried them yesterday at 100 yards and they are...

My best 5 shot group at 100

Using my .177 RedWolf and the 13.43 Knockout slugs. Completely still morning and perfect for shooting. I also tried at 130 yards but couldn’t keep it under an inch. So much fun shooting this rifle, super quiet with the ODB moderator.

    25 shots at 100 yards

Here’s 25 shots at 100 yards with my .177 RedWolf and 13.43 Knockout slugs. It was snowing hard with some wind. The two impacts on the far right were when the wind was blowing hardest and the slugs drifted about 3/4 of an inch. This informal shooting is so much fun and relaxing. But when I put...

    New RAW AZ custom .22

I’ve just received an excellent custom rifle built by Allen Zasadney. He told me of a great deal on a .35 caliber RAW in a green laminate stock and he transformed it into a very accurate .22 caliber with a FX superior light barrel liner. I asked for the quietest shroud he could make and he...

    We need off topic again!

I know it caused a lot of problems because it got political. And I was one of the main offenders, but just now looking at the post about knives made me realize how fun it was to see knives and fishing pictures, and best of all the cooking and bbq pictures that everyone contributed. Maybe it’s...
