Back in the early 80's, we used Johnson's most of the time in the USAF. But when we ran out, out came the Kiwi. After all, if the floors (and the boots) don't shine, the world stops turning.

So is it the general consensus that Johnson Paste Wax would be good for this? Has anyone actually tried it? I don't want to mess up any of our guns.

How about Johnson Paste Wax or good ol' Kiwi Shoe Polish? I'm trying to find something to use that we already have laying around, rather than buying something specifically for this, only to have it laying around for decades, too. Neither of these lists the ingredients. Thanks, guys.

When did all this happen, roughly? And does this mean that there are versions of the ProSport & TX200 from before the change and after the change, like there are Weihrauch HW97K's with 25mm and 26mm compression tubes (I think they are)?

I could probably do that! I think we have everything necessary to do it this way. Do you put the spring in a vice to heat and flatten it? Or are you able to just hold onto the spring with your other hand, since you're only heating the last coil?

I've often heard some of you advising people to cut 1 - 1 1/2 coils off a spring to bring the power level down. If a person was to do this, how would he close or flatten the end? Just grind it to be a ground open end? Or do you you just leave it open? (That sounds barbaric to me.) I...
