    Zeroing my scope

No it will not affect the zero no matter at which magnification level you are you are using. If you check out a few of Ted's videos on YouTube, he changes mag levels during shoots all the time. As Dave pointed out, your mil dot readings will change as mag changes. Your scope should have...

Pellet velocity without Chronograph( pretty accurate.) Chronograph verified

There are also mobile applications you could download which uses speed of sound and distance to target/muzzle to calculate muzzle speed. The major downside to using a ballistic program is the variations in BC. BC itself is calculated using projectile speed at different distances from the...

Anyone know bobcat quickfill oring sizes? I have a newer one made this year.

Sorry I gave you the wrong size in my last post, the end cap into breech block side should have this size: 70 NBR 28mm ID 3mm Width The size I gave you is for the twist cap, which you twist to protect the fill port from contaminants.

    Scope height on Bobcat MK2?

However, some rifle that's not bullpup could also require high scope mounts, because the stock is designed to have a high butt:

    Scope height on Bobcat MK2?

Just for comparison, look at this 22 LR, with a low scope height, but notice how far down the butt of the stock is, comparing to the rail:

    Scope height on Bobcat MK2?

I don't think it's much of a deficiency exactly. As long as you have a scope that could tolerate the MOA adjustments at close ranges, there isn't much you have to give up for high scope heights. After all, high scope rings are readily available, and they are designed for just this reason. Take...

    Scope height on Bobcat MK2?

No, I don't think scope height has much to do with your body height. The most significant limiting factor is the spread between the top of the stock, and the rail itself. Bullpups in general requires high scope rings, due to the fact that the breech block is basically level with the mounting...

    Pellet BC Improvements?

I have been researching the performance of pellet guns vs actual firearms. Aside from the very obvious, orders of magnitude difference in chamber pressure and projectile weight, which is ok since we don't want them to be treated like firearms everywhere so easily, there is one major limiting...

FX Bobcat MK2 air tube leaking through end cap

Not sure what you meant by this: "I believe I canned part of the brass monometer through thru hole" However, the small hole in the housing the manometer threads into is used for bleeding the air before removing the gauge itself. If you start to unscrew the gauge, you should start to hear...

Anyone know bobcat quickfill oring sizes? I have a newer one made this year.

Fill probe: 70 PUR (Polyurethane) 5.28mm ID 1.78mm Width Inside the end cap (the end that screws into the breech block): 70 NBR (Buna-N) 30mm ID 2mm Width

Air Compressor as First Stage for Hand Pump

May I ask what kind of fitting did you use to connect the compressor to the Benjamin hand pump? I compared sizes between that, which is 0.375 inch, and I could not find a standard size fitting which would have a nominal OD of 0.375. For NPT 1/16, the nominal OD is 0.313 and 1/8 is 0.405. Also...

    Need help...for fx bobcat mk2

The manual says above 100 psi. I just keep around 2200/150 bar since that is about how low you could shot the gun. You could however, bleed out the air after you take the tube off. To do this, slowly unscrew the pressure gauge until you start to hear a hissing sound. You could gradually unscrew...

    Need help...for fx bobcat mk2

I have had some experience dealing with AoA for issues under warranty, they are very helpful. The couple issues I had with my .30 cal were all with the air tube. So a couple of things: Make sure you have some pressure inside the tube before removing it. The manual recommends that as well...

    Owners Manual for FX Wildcat

I think aside from manuals, FX should also provide parts and exploded diagrams on all of their guns. I am aware they have this for a few models, but I didn't find one for my Bobcat MKII. The Bobcat MKII is relatively new, and it's really hard to find detailed repairs/adjustment tutorials and...

    Bobcat MK2 Regulator Adjustment

I have not measured the muzzle velocity of my gun yet. But it looks like the regulator on my Bobcat MKII .30 cal is between 160 and 170 bar. Not sure what the designed regulated pressure is at, hope FX could give an official reference.

FX Bobcat MK2 air tube leaking through end cap

Thanks Johan. I unscrewed the end cap. However the o-ring in there seems to be completely fine, so I cleaned the threads a little bit, there seems to be a little dirt/metallic deposit around it. After re-assembly, the leak seems to have went away (water tested). So I guess it's just the...

FX Bobcat MK2 air tube leaking through end cap

Johan, thank you for the quick response. I tightened the manometer using a 11mm wrench, but the leak has not been stopped. I made sure I tighten it as much as I can, and I even loosened it entirely and re-tightened. It does not seem to help. Also just to make sure you understand my problem, it...

FX Bobcat MK2 air tube leaking through end cap

I received a Bobcat MK2 .30cal today from Precision Airgun and Supplies. Upon filling out of the box, I noticed a hissing sound, and the pressure will drop quickly when filling stops. I removed the air tube and stock, and located the leak to the end cap area (not the fill port and gauge end)...
