Tune kits for hw50s
Just stumbled on this thread...I bought a Vortek kit for my brothers 1970s vintage Robert Law ARH HW50 MKII and the piston guide didn't fit correctly. FWB 124D Has PCP like accuracy.
I also found that the Maccari spring slipped on the rear guide very easily, there was no need to twist it on with force. maybe there's a lot of variance there...- licskeet

I tried the Maccari power+ upgrade kit and it is now silky smooth and accurate but i don't get over 780 fps with 7.87 gr JSB or HN lites. The 8.4 gr JSBs shoot about 730fps. I think the piston seal might be too tight. How do you know it's the correct OD and when to stop sanding it down...- licskeet

Do Beeman silver jets exist anymore?
I used those Mt Star pellets back in the 70s from ARH (Robert Laws) in the orange boxes. Their quality (by appearance at least) was amazing. I used the Krytox 205 in an old Wischo (BSF) 55N, FWB124, and my HW90. In the HW90 I used it on the gas strut O-rings and it’s been over a year with zero pressure loss. What is your oldest air gun?
1972 Wischo (BSF) 55N...rebuilt it with synthetic seals, Krytox lubed, sleeved spring. Buttoned piston. Shoots better than new but is pretty beat up!- licskeet
