Shooting a full body in contact with bore SLUG .... Lead fouling is the nemesis, not barrel wear.

RAW Rapid HM1000x SSG Set Up

Sounding like you need to start clipping spring coils as with the springs greater preload when contained within a SSG devise it is over driving hammer. SSG's don't offer broad tuning, but do offer very consistent & low ES shots when calibrated correctly. Reg Pressure, Hammer weight & stroke...

    Crosman Sinter Filter

First, to get out the check valve you only needed to hook up air to fitting and apply some pressure, as the inner valve will pop out into a catch rag etc ... If sintered filter is gone .. non issue leave it out but do use a cover over the fill fitting to keep debris out of the filler hole.

JSB is still the king of pellets...no takers?

Not really testing per-say. But have shot lots of the JTS pellets which come out of if not identical made in China. yes they do appear harder / alloyed somewhat and foul a barrel differently than the softer JSB/AA/FX etc pellets make in CZ.

JSB is still the king of pellets...no takers?

Wad cutters from Slow to @ 700 fps or there about and closer ranges is typical. Shot faster and again closer ranges similar to if one could shoot frying pans as the impact of a wad cutter in general is pretty dramatic & intense on small critters.

    Marginal gains and barrel/projectile choice

The last several months I too am using a .177 Stainless ST poly with 10.3 AA's. Its weird after 10+ years using a .20 cal to re-calibrate the old brain for the different wind hold requirements.

You addressed ONE location .... as too all the other critical sealing joints that make up the complete operational system keeping it all balanced .... Nope  I'm not trying to be combative here. This is WHY the rifles are provided with a Pressure On/Off valve at bottle ... Now if one...

That is an ISSUE ..... It is a Known issue with polyurethane 0-rings that they can and will take a set ( As in if forced to take a slightly different shape they lack the shape memory ) when compared to Viton, Buna o-rings we typically see in PCP air guns. So WHY are they using Poly o-rings ...

JSB is still the king of pellets...no takers?

1st off ... a Wadcutter while most trend to prefer Domes for the vastly better BC and longer range capabilities, wad cutters prefer lower speeds than a dome, designed to cut clean holes in paper targets, JSB makes domes, but I've never read a comment about them on the AG forums good bad or...

    "Arrow or the indian?"

Think of EVERY shot as if using your 5 cards to build a house ( house of cards ) as there is only one successful way to have it stand with all other miens ending in failure.

    "Arrow or the indian?"

Yes indeed ... in the last 14 years of shooting FT I've certainly fooled a bit with different rifles for short stints, but when I've been serious in the shooting nearly every single match won be it Fun matches, GP's, Nationals etc has been with 1 rifle and scope combo. This Indian has loved his...

Hatsan Velox releases all air when shot to the yellow zone

Likely cause is that the design has a LOT of hammer spring tension placing a high static pressure against poppet stem. As pressure within gun reduces so does the force holding poppet closed. Get near the tipping point of air pressure holding valve closed and the mechanical pressure of wanting...

    Theoretical Groups at Distance

IMO using a slow twist .177 poly with 10.3 to 13.4 weight pellets at the speeds we shoot to stay sub 20 fpe, high pellet rpm is not an issue and gyroscopic stability degradation we see with some faster twist combinations IS NOT an issue here. As such the questioned last 15 yards ( 40 to 55 )...

Resources What color are your targets

Yes ... the lane I sat there eye in scope waiting for my eye to dilate to actually see the KZ hole. 1st shot good ... keep eye in scope and load a second by feel as taking eye off scope you would never see KZ again in time allotted
