Using model cement in proximity to a CF Bottle

I was doing some model making in my office as I'm want to do from time to time (love warhammer) and I use tamiya thin modeling cement that basically smells like acetone. I believe the stuff is some mixture of acetone and butylacetate. Is there any danger of the fumes from that stuff affecting...

    Finally installed picatinny rail

I ended up seeing peskadot's tut for the synthetic R5M rail he installed and finally got around to attemping it. I think it's straight as I measured like 20 times but I have an Accu-Tac coming tomorrow so had to bite the bullet and attempt it.....do wish it had holes for standard picatinny rail...

Tank filling slower not sure why

So I have a 74 cu.ft. Tiger Shark tank with the slow flow valve and an Eazy fill chuck with quick disconnect hose and end. Recently the gun started filling much slower than previously. I ended up replacing the 010 o-rings at all quick disconnect points in the line. Also the o-rings of the fill...

    Super Lube and fill probes?

I just wanted to double check because I've recently had my eazy fill kind of slow down when filling from a tank. Is it ok to put Super Lube on the o-rings of the probe? I changed all the 010 o-rings for all of the quick disconnects. Hopefully it's not something in the air tube of the gun.

    Cocking issue R5M

Had an odd issue start popping up for me lately. After taking a little break from shooting I noticed that my .25 R5M is having issues with cocking. Specifically, when I cock the handle back it cycles just fine, but the action doesn't remain to the rear. Instead, it tries to spring back forward...

    Fliers

I was wondering, does anyone have any sage advice for diagnosing fliers? I'm running the Matador R5M at short ranges and have been getting more more fliers than usual recently. I serviced all of the o-rings in the reg not too long ago and I have the barrel tension nut set to I think 13 ft lbs...

    Preserving o-rings in storage?

Are there prevailing opinions on how to store o-rings so they don't break down? Is that even a thing? Thanks.

    Not bad groups

Here's a nine shot group I pulled off at 22 yards. Getting a little better at this shooting thing. Matador R5M .25 and JSB 25.39 gr at about 900 fps. Think it's just over 1/2". Wish I could shoot further distances.

Anyone here work on the old Brocock Super 6's/Contours?

I have an older Specialist that I tried to gas up for the first time in a long time and it isn't holding air. I was wondering if there was anyone in the Socal area that has experience working on these. I know these are fairly old guns but figured I'd check here. Thanks.

POI shift vs loss of accuracy

I'm interested in knowing what the difference is and what's commonly likely to cause both. POI shift could be the barrel or scope shifting correct? Especially if it's a significant shift but it's consistent from shot to shot. Is loss of accuracy where you're seeing a lot of fliers that are...

    Offhand accuracy

I've been shooting a bunch with my Matador and the accuracy has been impressive at about 23 yards when resting on a perch (size of my yard). One thing I have noticed, however, is how hard it is to shoot offhand. My best guess is it is the weight and it's balance being toward the barrel since my...

    New Matador R5M in .25

Finally pulled the trigger (oof bad pun) on a .25 Matador R5M. Paired with Helix 4-16x44 scope. Never fired anything like this and other than it being a bit loud at my ear absolutely love it! Thanks Brian and Edgun West. Very helpful with purchase and setup.

Good places to shoot in Southern California?

I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on places to shoot in sunny socal? I'm going to try for a second time to pick up the activity here as time and finances allow if possible.

    Shroud removal on Brocock?

So I finally joined the pcp club and picked up a Brocock Specialist. Very happy with the purchase used (got a great deal on it) but I did notice that the shroud is rotated oddly such that a fluted section (where it would sit next to the air cylinder, I guess) is on the side. Long story short I'd...

    Places to shoot in socal?

I recently wanted to get back into this activity and even went so far as to line up a used pcp to purchase, but that got me thinking, I have no idea about places I can shoot in Southern California. I am fairly certain it's illegal to do in my backyard in Orange. So to my question: does anyone...

    General questions about PcP's

Hi all, I'm wanting to enter this activity after a really long hiatus from airguns (like 24 years or so). I never owned a pcp as I never had the money for one but I'm getting to the point where I might like to pull the trigger. I'm really quirky about how I shoot but a specific question I had...

    Question about cocking lever placement.

Hi all. I'm new to the forums and had a question about why the cocking handle is typically on the right side of the rifle. I've been looking at trying to find a Brocock Specialist but find the idea of taking the firing hand off of the rifle as being very uncomfortable and was wondering if anyone...
