    Lead Free

California is lead free for firearms hunting. Airguns are not classified as firearms so lead is still legal for hunting.

Infrared White Wash Due To Air Pressure from Shots

I have had that happen in Hawaii shooting at night. Agree with Geezerhood that it is caused by moisture. Have also seen a cloud of moisture from the end of the barrel in situations when it has just rained and sun comes out (quick humidity changes).

Brocock Atomic / Ranger XR thoughts and testing.

I have only target shot the Hades on paper at 10 yards for zeroing on the low setting as that is the distance the rats are at and they did not seem at tight as the JSB 15 (low and medium setting) or 18 grain (high setting) pellets in same conditions/distance. Shot them at 25 yards zeroing lane...

Brocock Atomic / Ranger XR thoughts and testing.

Bought a Brocock Ranger about a year ago for ratting without the neighbors knowing (not allowed to shoot in my area). Great gun. Last week was at a location with pest birds and was knocking them out of trees at 40-50 yards with JSB Hades on the high power setting. Never tuned it just used it...

Noise Level: .30 Cal vs .22 Cal

I have a FX Impact manufactured right before the 2nd version came out. Originally it was a .30 cal with 600mm barrel. Changed it to .22 with 600mm barrel. Both had the same Donny FL LDC. When pesting around the house the residents didn't know I was shooting with the .22. The .30 was too loud so...

    Serious late night rat killing

Good video as always. I am using the Brocock Ranger XR .22 (basically the same gun) for ratting in the northern part of the state. Like that the power can be turned down to about 12ft.lbs and is quiet enough for backyard use at night. Just received a tin of JSB Hades pellets and they are...

    Huma Externally Adjustable Inline Regulator

I have the externally adjustable regulator and use it mostly for unregulated big bores when bench shooting connected direct to a SCBA tank CGA connection. As mentioned in the video it is expensive but works well and makes filling guns safer.

Good Rifle Case on Sale at Harbor Freight

Harbor Freight has their rifle hard case on sale for $119 usually $165. Case is a "Pelican Like" case, well made and good of you travel by air. It is a little heavy but has wheels on one end. Can fit one scoped rifle or two non-scoped. I bought one on sale for about $100 a few years ago and it...

    12ft/lb pesting w/ .177 Brocock Ranger

I have a Ranger in .22 and it is a lot of fun to shoot. Currently have it set up on low power with 15 grain JSB and a ATN scope to take care of a backyard rat problem. Will put a MTC 3-12 Viper Connect on it. Only issue is the folding stock does not fold easily. Was able to fold up a few times...

    New to big bore pcp

I cannot recommend the Mad Dog stocks enough. Bought a .457 SS a few years ago at the last minute before a hunting trip as another rifle I had ordered was delayed. Did not really like the .457 SS and was thinking of selling after my ordered rifle arrived. Read about Mad Dog stocks and ordered...

ATN 4k 3-14x night vision scope

I just checked mine in daylight and can focus down to about 6-7 yards zoomed in at 14x. Not sure what the distance is in night vision mode and will check in about 8 hours.

ATN 4K any issues with running out of elevation, 20 MOA rings/mount needed?

The ATN is not a optical scope but a video camera configured through software to operate as a rifle scope. The post above from AirShot does not apply to the ATN. Bought a ATN 4K 3-14 about 3 years ago and have mounted it on a Texan SS .45, FX Impact, Winchester .45, AAA Slayer .357, and a...

Atomic XR Cottontail & Tree Squirrel Hunt (pictorial)

Nice write up. thinking about getting this rifle in the Ranger XR version for the folding stock. Can’t legally shoot airguns where I live but have a outdoor rat infestation that needs taking care of. Need something small, low power and somewhat quiet. Shooting distance about 10-20 yards. Can’t...

    Tuning Fx Impact barrel holder

Great design. I am in the process of copying the Barrel Guiding Front on my Impact Mk1 and was going to add two set screws on the sides to secure the barrel. Your design is much better. I also drilled/tapped a second M6 screw hole in the rear block for more barrel support. Do you think the...

    Blackhound Genesis

Have had the MOA version on my AAA Slayer .357 for about two years and like it. Also have the 4-14x44 MOA on another rifle but like the 6-24x50 better.

    Carm magazine for daystate review

Got a magazine ans single shot loader for my Daystate Pulsar .22 and they both work fine. Also got a FX Impact .30 cal mag and single loader and both work well.

Thinking of getting a Blackhound optic

I have one of these on my .357 Slayer for about two years and have had no problems with it. I also bought a 4-14x44 FFP for my Daystate Pulsar .22 HP to complete my shift from SFP to FFP scopes.

Salinas California air rifle hunting ??

Last year there was a guy who has a paint ball facility in Hollister that was looking for people to hunt ground squirrels. https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/free-squirrel-rabbit-hunting-hollister-ca-use-our-7-sniper-towers-really/

Salinas California air rifle hunting ??

Check the BLM maps and state game areas. There are a few not too far from Salinas. Check before you go because some of the BLM lands close for fire season until the Fall.

Chassis or stock for Daystate Pulsar

I have a Pulsar .22 HP and had the same problem. Try adjusting the butt pad as it moves in several directions. To cure my canting problem I tilted the butt pad to the left (towards me - right handed shooter).
