    Best skunk bait

Sardines sound like a good one. My dog won't eat those and I can put the can in a good spot.

want to know if its possible to make pellets out of copper

Swaging copper would take much more force than lead and probably not possible in a home setup since copper work hardens. Copper also melts at a much higher temp than lead so using lead casting equipment is also out. Turning them on a CNC lathe as suggested is probably the easiest and most...

    Best skunk bait

I have a skunk that calls my yard and my neighbor's yards home, and he has to go. I don't need a 110 lb dog that smells like skunk. What is a good bait to get him out in the open within airgun range?

Slugs in a Hatsan Flash QE - do they work?

Has anyone tried slugs in a 25 cal Hatsan Flash QE? I believe the barrel is choked, and I'm not sure what that would do for slug performance? Do they work? Do you get good accuracy and precision? Thanks!

    Deer kill from this year

That's a nice rifle. We can't airgun deer here in Ohio, and hogs are too few and far between to warrant buying one or else I might be interested.

Building a feeder from found material

I love this type of ingenuity. No one needs to spend money on a fancy feeder. Free is always good in my book. I killed a bunch of squirrels this fall off of a simple cardboard mail tube with a hole cut at the bottom. The rain ruined it though so I gotta make something more weatherproof.

    Deer kill from this year

Nice! What are the specs on your gun? Is that a Boyds stock?

Interest in a big game AG hunting forum?

I beg to differ. The big bore forum has a whopping 58 threads on it right now. I'm sure if you go through the hunting forum you'd find a least that many threads on people hunting coyotes, deer, pigs, goats, turkeys, etc.\ EDIT: Just did a quick tally and there are 22 posts about big game...

Interest in a big game AG hunting forum?

Hi guys. I wanted to gauge the interest of the members in seeing a dedicated big game airgun hunting sub forum being created. We have a seperate big bore AG forum, so I think a seperate big game forum to go along with it would be appropriate. I'd say it would be for hunting anything bigger...

Sub 150fpe Deer Kill with a Pellet

Nice clean kill. Impressive for an airgun. What caliber pellet was that?

    Another Hawaiian goat down.

What is it about these goats that make them unpallatable? Pretty much any ungulate is good when the meat is cared for. Did it spoil in the Hawiian heat? I've had goat before and it was good. I don't see why these would be bad unless it spoiled.

    Squirrel station

I have used corn since I buy it for deer and it works, but the coons also like it and they eat a bunch. Just bought a bunch of sunflower seeds tonight so I hope they draw them in. My yard has been somewhat devoid of squirrels lately. I've shot a lot lol.

Anyone casting the NOE 25 cal magnum hunters

If you have some of the magnums poured that don't fit your mag and you wouldn't mind sending me a couple I'd appreciate it and I'd find a way to reciprocate. I use the single shot tray on my Flash QE 25 so pellet length really doesn't matter for me.

Anyone casting the NOE 25 cal magnum hunters

If you head over to the castboolits forum, there is a whole subforum on lead. People get it from a lot of different places. Probably the most common people talk about are clip on wheel weights (which you'll see abbreviated at COWW), but some people melt down range scrap, collect dental xray...

    Paper patched bullets

Only problem with paper patching is that unless you are loading single shot, I don't think it would be durable enough to run through a magazine. I think sabots would be a much better option, especially if your gun is the same caliber as available muzzleloader sabots. I know MMP makes sabots in...

Casting big bore slugs from tin

Yeah in that case I'd look at the copper handgun bullets from Barnes, Lehigh Defense, or Cutting Edge Bullets designed for slow handguns like 45 ACP, 38 special, 9mm, 45 Colt, etc and modify some muzzleloader sabots

Casting big bore slugs from tin

I'm a big believer in copper bullets for big game hunting, not even from an environmental standpoint, but from a terminal performance and meat loss standpoint, and I've put some thought into the thought of casting non lead for powder burners, but not airguns. As far as powder burning guns are...

Low profile mags for Hatsan guns

I posted this question in the PCP forum, but then I thought maybe this was a more appropriate location for it, so sorry for the double post. Are there any companies that make aftermarket magazines for Hatsan airguns, specifically ones with a lower profile than the rotary mags? I have a flash...

Casting big bore slugs from tin

I was just curious to know if anyone casts their big bore slugs with regular bullet molds but uses pure tin instead of lead to get a weight more suitable for air rifles or to make a lead free slug for big game hunting.

Low profile mags for Hatsan guns

Are there any companies that make aftermarket magazines for Hatsan airguns, specifically ones with a lower profile than the rotary mags? I have a flash QE and with my scope mounted, the magazine wont fit. I am using some high Burris rings but theyre still too low, and I'd rather not sacrifice...
