Is DonnyFL Ronin worth while upgrade from FX moderator on impact 25 factory tune

So I tried, for about 20 minutes now, to post a response to this thread. For whatever reason, I don't seem to be able to. The post submits and simply disappears. I don't know why. I've PMed the contents of my intended post to Michael and a couple people here. Hopefully one of them will be able...

Is DonnyFL Ronin worth while upgrade from FX moderator on impact 25 factory tune

So normally I don't post in these sorts of threads, positive or negative, however I've now gotten several messages asking more or less the same handful of questions so I figured I'd poke my head in and clear the air. First I feel I should explain why I'm doing this. I do this moderator research...

    Donnyfl fx moderator

Basically the dumbest looking socket you've ever seen, five rounded off facets to match the end of the can. The rest of it I could grip with a strap wrench. If I hadn't been able to, I'd have printed a tool that fit in the grooves of the front next.

    Donnyfl fx moderator

I own a DonnyFX moderator. No hole in the back cap on mine either. I 3D printed a tool to grab it and open it up as mine was snug as well. I confess, the design is a bit baffling to me. It clearly has tool flats on it, but instead of going with four or six as is convention, he went with five so...

    The NEW FX Wildcat MKIII

Could we take a pause here for a second from roasting FX-USA and take a quick step back? Very few manufacturers/distributors hang out on the forums, and it seems the larger they are the more this holds true. FX is a bit special in that they're proactively engaging with people on the forums...

FX liner system, what's the point?

So I certainly could be accused of being an FX "fanboy" as I own two and love them, however I also have the unpopular opinion of not really loving the Impact specifically all that much. Why? From an engineering standpoint, you want everything to be as simple as it can be, but not one bit...

New ALTAROS ATP .22 bullets available

My understanding was that Gregor based that mould design off the Huben slugs. This was necessary because the Huben slugs were quite expensive and were largely unavailable, and at the time for various reasons they were one of very few things that shot well out of the Huben. The design itself is...

Reducing the Motor RPM of Yong Heng Compressor for Longevity

A Yong Heng runs an AC synchronous motor, meaning it's RPM is linked to the frequency of the alternating current coming out of your wall. You would need a VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) as noted by the gentleman above, which is basically a box packed full of electronic witchcraft in order to let...

    Quick detach rings reliable ??

I'm personally quite partial to larue for repeatable qd (with no tools) rings, however I'm also quite partial to clip on night vision which looks through my daytime scope (and at the inexpensive end can be had for about the price of a set of larue rings) I reviewed just such an optic here...

    Fx Crown .22 shot string

So my .22 Crown doesn't like the 25 grain redesigned monsters with the factory A-liner, although it is excellent with the 18.13s. My understanding is that FX designed the pellet B-liner to function with those heavier pellets. Then the slug liners came along, and everyone said the RD monsters...

    FX Crown100yd indoor accuracy

Somebody else already noted this, but my Crowns both shoot better with SSTs than out of the mag. In fact certain bays in a given mag specifically seem to have a higher probability of being wild. If you've got a buddy with a 3d printer, I'm happy to give you designs for trays that will work with...

Looks like Shoebox is calling it quits

I ask because it looks to me like detonation products, in fact all the damage looks like the result of a donation. And it fits too. There is no way an o-ring in the solenoid failing could cause all that pattern and severity of damage for about a dozen different reasons.

Looks like Shoebox is calling it quits

The brown spot on the rear wall of the compressor housing right over the first piston's exhaust port is silica gel?

Dare I ask what on Earth that brown stuff sprayed everywhere is?

    Edgun R5M ping...

So a while back I was working on a moderator design for the American Air Arms Slayer, and stumbled across something very interesting about air tube ping. You see, the Slayer is a worst case scenario for tube ping in certain respects, because aside from dumping a "big bore" amount of air with...

    PLUCK & PULL FOAM?

The real trick is getting solid foam and using a hot wire or a buddy's laser to cut it exactly. I use both in various gun/camera cases. Just my 2c. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=foam+cutter

Do you guys think this is a lot ????

As someone who has shipped a lot of stuff over the years, can I give a small perspective from the other side? I want to preface this by saying, while I also think 30$ is a bit dear, I don't think it is necessarily completely outrageous either. Who you ship with, and where you're shipping to...

    3D printed .22 Impact magazine?

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2736118 I'm afraid the only model for the impact I've seen is the standard hicap, not something on the scale of the side shot super hicap. The design assembly isn't super complex though, someone who has the rifle and factory mag on hand should be able...

    .25 vs .22 - Any downside to .25?

Just a thought: instead of going for a whole new rifle and caliber, why not give .177 slugs a shot? NSA makes them, among others, and they promise everything you're looking for.
