    Vortex Viper PST II

The Viper PST Gen2 has been redesigned. Very few people have their hands on one since they only recently shipped pre-orders. You cannot compare a PST to a HST yet alone a PST Gen2. The PST Gen2 is also 3x the price of a Hawke Sidewinder so that's not even a fair comparison. I had the PST...

    Biniculars with rangefinder

You might want to rethink this idea unless you have $1-2K+ laying around. I wouldn't go cheap on rangefinder binoculars. Plus almost all of them are large size binoculars to have the rangefinder feature in them. You're better off using a dedicated pair of binoculars and a carry a compact...

    Which Cricket stock?

A .25 Cricket is a long bullpup. It looks funny with a Bulldog stock. They no longer make the extended Skeleton stock so my pick would be the current Extended stock they have for the .25.

    MTC Viper Pro

On a long bench rest rifle, the length and weight of this scope shouldn't be an issue. On anything else, it's a tad long and on the heavy side. I also find it confusing after reading the specs. The reticle is MIL however the turrets is MOA? It probably won't matter if you print out your...

The problem with custom PCP gun stores

On the affordable airgun spectrum (sub $1K), there's already a lot of choices available. If you want something custom, it may cost you double the cost to go the custom route compared to an off the shelf airgun. Machinist and gunsmiths hobbies are expensive. If you're lucky to know a few, they...

    Anti cant leveling

Depending on the scope manufacturer, some can't even properly align the reticle without cant. It would be really annoying if the bubble level inside the scope isn't perfectly aligned to the reticle. To check the bubble level on a traditionally installed anti-cant device on the scope tube...

    Frontier or Talos

I don't think your comparison is fair as both scopes are vastly different in price and functionality. The Frontier is significantly higher in price and is a 2nd focal plane scope. Assuming that you're looking at the TMX reticle. The one thing that has put me off in owning another Hawke scope...

    The best scope rings made?

If holding zero is the only thing that matters to you then cranking down on $20 rings and it will fit the bill on an airgun. Starting out, I purchased cheap ebay and UTG rings. They looked decent at first glance but it's different when you're able to compare them side-by-side to quality...

    Hawke sidewinder modification

If you already use a 4" sunshade, why do you need an ARD? Are you shooting in the direction of a sunrise or sunset? This is an airgun and not a sniper rifle. I don't think you need to camouflage the glare of your shooting position in the field of combat. In my opinion an ARD is unnecessary...

    The best scope rings made?

I don't agree with this opinion. Yes, there's a point of diminishing returns that holds true on a lot of things including rings and etc but you can't compare a $20 set of rings to say a pair of NightForce Ultralite rings for example. Will the $20 do the job? Of course but the quality...

    The best scope rings made?

To get the most of your thread, you probably want to specify which airgun and scope you are using. Money might not be a concern based on your intro but it still should be a factor. Spuhr mounts are badass looking but you have to be realistic with your choices. You're probably not taking your...

    The best scope rings made?

Honest question. Are you actually in the market for a set of premier rings are just fishing for post counts? With the exception of a very small minority, most people on here don't have scopes that cost more than a $400 Spuhr mount so why would they invest in owning a mount that cost more than...

Whomever PMed you flat out lied to you. Being a forum owner/operator you should have done your due diligence rather than posting hearsay. This guy spent $1,900 on a new gun that was subpar in fit and finish and provided proof of it yet many question his experience? He risked $1,900 of his...

I don't know about the rest of you but if I'm paying full retail for a new airgun, I expect new without poor machined parts without cosmetic flaws. It doesn't matter if it's a $500 Marauder or $3,500+ Thomas rifle. Sure if you get a "deal" on something that has to be weighed in but any rifle...

The machining on the rail is very poor. It's like the ran the machine with a dull bit and instead of a nice clean edge, it's very rough. They should have caught that before the anodizing process the scrapped this piece.
