FX Wildcat mk3 sniper slug results

Thanks, I believe that is my missing link! It makes sense now why my Mk2 is so much quieter at a higher reg

FX Wildcat mk3 sniper slug results

I did a simple test getting avg muzzle speed than speed at 75 yards moving the same chronyout there. I know bc values can likely vary but i think my test should get me close. Of course I may know better after I measure drop at long range. True, accuracy isn't everything unless it's at the...

FX Wildcat mk3 sniper slug results

Hi all, Finally got time to tune my wc for 23g NSA slugs. I tried the huma reg at 100bar 1st then at 115. After much trial and error I was able to get repeatable m.o.a.ish results with a 115 reg at 50 & 75 yds. It likes .216 & .2165 at 950 fps, allbeit it cracks quite loudly, kinda unexpected...

FX V-R day proclaimed for my Wildcats (Victory over Regulators)

I have posted about and have tried extensively to fix(seal) the amp reg in my mk2 without success. Until now! I am delighted to announce V-R day as I have successfully fixed two of these leaking regs! I achieved this by getting a couple humas and putting them in my guns instead! So obviously...

    Air Venturi Regulator issue

Wow! That's a whole lot of psi. going somewhere in four shots. Does the needle stay put when your not shooting? I'm guessing there is a leak somewhere. 250 psi per shot would definitely mean something is broken and would crack like all get out.

    FX Wildcat MK3 Stock

I used 1in. # 10 wood screws from Home Depot and a cheap picatinny rail. I'm confident in this holding up quite well as I have used smaller screws and they lasted. I drilled a hole slightly smaller than the shaft of the screw and slightly shorter than the length. Then screwed the screws in by...

    R U using Accu Tac?

I just got a Harris picatinny, cant, leg notch model. It's very good with the only real drawback being you cannot have it at 45 degrees which would lower the gun and make it more ideal for bench rest. Wasn't spending $400 for an accutac!!... Or $300 for an atlas with non-stiff legs...

Tuning wildcat .22 mk3 by noise?

I haven't heard it from a few feet and I believe you're right but that wouldn't help me much except to know perhaps it's quieter for the birds...

Tuning wildcat .22 mk3 by noise?

I will replace that probe oring to see if it helps, it's definitely there but perhaps worn too much. Tried the hollow moderator, which came with my mk2, but didn't make a noticeable difference, IMO

Tuning wildcat .22 mk3 by noise?

It does get quieter after I back off the hammer after reaching the peak of the reg but not by much. Really makes a difference when I go "below the shot curve" as you said but those cons obviously aren't ideal.

Tuning wildcat .22 mk3 by noise?

Trying to see what velocities work for nsa slugs; working my way up from a 90 bar reg planning to try several reg settings and velocities. So far the smaller sized slugs are most promising. So my biggest question so far: should this gun make more of an echoing thwang or a louder thwack which...

    Huma reg tester necessary?

Looking to get a huma reg for fx wc mkiii 22 and tune for 23g nsa slugs. So, what are the experiences of adjusting regs for those who have humas? How accurate/inaccurate are the readings? My thinking is that if the readings on the regs are accurate but off I could simply compare readings to...

Easiest way to tell the difference between FX rifles

Yeah, I arrived at the same conclusion. The third one is adjustable with the stock on has a large brass screw. I will probably call fx to make sure I can swap regs with my mkii & mkiii but I believe they are the same.

Easiest way to tell the difference between FX rifles

So, stupid question: the late Mk2 reg and the early mk3 reg are the same design, correct? Also are the regs the same across calibers. I ask because I need one for my MK2 and I thought I would get a huma for my MK3. Huma offers a lower psi and a 'tuning reg' for your and my guns.

..... So it has a single hole in the tube similar to my Mk2 which had 2 holes at the reg. Gen 2 reg?
