Yes drinking water will help your body's general function but not much your eyes. As we get older the body's production of tears decreases that's why we get dry eyes and have to use artificial tears. It would be great if drinking more water would fix dry eyes. Getting old is not for woozies.

I'm in my 60s and have had floaters for 10-15 yrs. You actually can semi control the movement and blink them out of the way or you can wait for them to move out of the way. Mine are so big they block words in the computer. Like everything else in life you learn to live with it.
