Long shot but check your stock screw for looseness. Just checked mine and got 3/4 of a turn on it. Also mounting screws.

It took me about two or three times with the magazine not rotating to figure out the toggle lever. Now it's second nature. And I like the way the magazine falls in my hand when I pull back the cocking lever and the toggle. Taking two hands for me isn't a problem. And probably an added advantage...

Sweet looking gun and great groups at 70 yards! My .25 Cricket with full tune from Georgia Air Guns is on order and should be shipped around the 10th. Have you tried shooting any slugs thru it? I understand it shoots the Nielsen .38 gr. really well. 

 Since all my shooting with the R9 is off the bench this is my "artillery hold". Consistent shot groups every time. The grand kids took one for the team and donated the late mister turtle bobble head.
