    Pellet Wash and Lube

I fell down the wash and lube hole once. I used CPHP for the test. They are a relatively clean cheap pellet and they shoot very well in my test gun (Hatsan AT44). Here is what I tried: Straight from the tin (nothing done to the pellet). Dry cleaned (a poured the pellets into a wire strainer...

    new pistols coming ?

On the cheap end but the Beeman 2027 is everything the Bandit tried to be. Super adjustable (FPS from 300 to 750) a decent mag and Single shot tray. shot count from a low of 40 to a high of 100 (all this in .177- also available in a .22 version). Build quality is a little better than expect...

Time to spend money: Best all around backyard target/hunting reliable PCP

I will second the Hatsan offering. I got an AT-44 in .177 (but did shoot a .25). I have the non QE version. I paid $249 on sale 4 or 5 years ago. I added a second air cylinder, regulators to both cylinders, a cheap Chinese scope and Yong Heng compressor, and a TKO muffler- and I still have...

Sharing My Initial Take on the New Crosman 362

Very interested in this gun. I really hope they bring out a .177 as I really like the smaller caliber and is what the majority of my guns are chambered for. I do own a Crosman 101 that I failed miserably at rebuilding (with a Baker rebuild kit no less). So to use a functional "modern"version...

What was your first Pellet Rifle?

My first airgun was a Daisy model 95 that lived in my garage my entire life up to my 11th (1977) B-day. I proved I could cock it and it was mine! the stock butt plate was missing and there were always spiders crawling up in there. The gun was my uncle's that got left there when he moved out. ...

    What HPA compressor??

I have the YH with the auto shut off. Going on 2 years now without a problem. 5 gallons of water are not required unless it is very warm or you are running a long haul on it. Mine is kept in the basement and I use a 3 gallon bucket for my water. You need to make sure the cheap water pump...

*** Beeman 2027 .17 cal. PCP Pistol (review sorta kinda)***

Thank you! I'm heading out this weekend to pick up a set as the only 2.5mm I have is a T-handle and I don't want to drill a hole in the guard to fit it in.

*** Beeman 2027 .17 cal. PCP Pistol (review sorta kinda)***

NO it is very different from a Bandit. Power level is super easy to set with a 5mm Allen wrench at the back of the barrel. You can bring it out to get 100 shots (at about 300 fps) or take the spring all the way in and get 30 to 40 shots at 600+ fps. Receiver is set up different as well. The...

got another Prod, was going to put a longer LW barrel

Don't have the Prod, but I do have a 1701P with the LW barrel and it is a pellet stacker. I just got a 1377 with a Crosman barrel and I looks like it tools going to stack pellets. I guess the idea is if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

    Tuning Modded 1377

Blankshot17 great advise on the re-crown. I have my first 1377 on it's way (supposed to be delivered today! but realistically it was still 15 states away from me last night so very low hope there). I'm keeping mine bone stock for now (lol well except the steel breech I ordered for it, and a...

    Tuning Xisico XSP120D/Beeman P17 won’t fire

I'm sure you already checked this but mine does that when the barrel is plugged. Also check the Piston o-rig, Might be starting to to go. There are a lot of you tube videos about rebuilding these. They are very easy guns to work on. MIGHT want to check your pellet seating as well. If the...

    The low down 177 Caliber

Almost all my guns are .177. My one .22 (Diana Bandit) was bought on a whim as I didn't want to wait for the .177 to get back in stock. I do regret the purchase as I just don't get the shot count like my .177s (My 1701 get 50 shots and when I turn the power way down on the Beeman 2027 I can...

what pellets for the Crosman 2300s paper targets

No idea on your particular gun, but my LW barrel in my 1701P likes just about anything. My absolute tightest groups came with the RWS miesterkugein Wadcutters. I don't have any R1os to try, I also had amazing results in any of the JSB Exacts (Heavy's probably edged out the others by a smidge)

    Won a Crosman 116

Congrates! My family worked in reverse. I got my dad hooked on airguns. Hopefully he has many years of shooting left, but eventually I'm (or my offspring) are going to have 2 models of several guns as Dad and I have similar tastes in guns.

Some testing with the Beeman 2027

Set up in the basement today. 10 Meters just testing pellets. Filled the Beeman 2027 to 2900psi and turned to power way down (shooting around 400 fps). Open sites. Test 25 different pellets, 3 shots each. No clear winner as I stink with open sights. But what is really amazing is that after...
