Clearidge scopes are suppose to be a nice and most of them are very light. Also check out the Burris Timberline 4.5-14x32, it's another compact lightweight scope. I had both the Burris and Leupold EFR and if I recall the Burris reticle was slightly thicker. Never tried a Clearidge myself...

I think they are the same. As far as I know you can only get the 3-9x33 EFR with a duplex reticle unless you buy it and send it to Leupold's custom shop. I would just ask the seller to send you a picture of the reticle. It is an awesome little scope, the only thing I didn't like about it was...

I( don't mind using holdover, it's just that at least 1 in 10 shots I end up screwing up and using the wrong hash mark/mil-dot lol. I want to put my ranges right on my scope turret (similar to Matt Dubbers Impact setup) so I can just turn the turret to the distance I'm shooting. I've an SWFA...

I am interested in trying this also. Just zero at each distance you want and then mark the turret? I was wondering how others do this, if they take the time to shoot at every distance or just enter it into strelok or chairgun and use that to set up their scope turret?

Ahh sorry! It seems odd though that they would make it so difficult to take off and put back on. You would think it would be the same as the Veteran! If it does turn out that you need a pair of circlip pliers, most hardware stores have them and they aren't too expensive.

Have you tried pulling it out the 1/4" and then while pulling slightly, try "unscrewing" it ccw. I know one of the bullpups fill covewr removes like this but cannot remember if it was the mutant or R3M.
