Looking for a part - dunno what to call it.

I have tried to take it apart but couldn't. As it does not leak when the knob is not turned so it's not a significant problem.

Looking for a part - dunno what to call it.

If you fill guns only, then I would suggest you to get a smaller filter. In my case the small black filter was not out yet when I got my Yong Heng so I had to do something to the big gold filter. I added a needle valve to the outlet like what you have described. The valve is said be rated for...

Yong Heng is apart any questions?

Yong Heng has got three rings . The 2-ring and 4-ring designs are used in Tuxing compressors. 2 rings for low-end models ( looks like Yong Heng ) and 4 rings for high-end models ( no externally tubings, just a big head ). From the official on-line shop of Tuxing in China :

Auto Type Repair Manual for Compressor

Such problem is VERY common. Suggest to check for leakage with soapy water first.

    Just saw this catastrophic failure...thoughts?

I remember seeing this thread before and the guy did not provide any photos of his blown-up gold filter despite asked by respondents. I am definitely no expert on the subject but my understanding is that seamed pipes typically have relatively thin wall. Can think-wall aluminium pipes such as...

    Yong Heng - SPARE PARTS

I would add the followings : - Reed valve blades ( 2 in a set ) at the top of the high-pressure cylinder - rubber gasket in the crankcase. It will shrink over time and you wont be able to put it back if you need to remove the crank case cover. - seals set.

Yong Heng is apart any questions?

Not that difficult if you know the way. The Yong Heng people taught me this method. Only a metal rod is needed : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBh9pv-Ub90&feature=youtu.be How the workers did it in the Yong Heng factory : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgg8YouWZfs&feature=youtu.be

    Need expert advice on compressor

Get a Yong Heng + gold filter plus spare parts ( pistons and con rod, seals, reed valve blades, gasket ). Will be well within your budget. The machine is very simple and easy to fix. If you are mechanically inclined, you will be able to replace any prone-to-fail parts within an hour.

Yong Heng is apart any questions?

This and the availability of parts at very low cost, makes YH the only self-serviceable compressor in the market.

    Yong heng question

Fully agree on this part. I always run the compressor for half a minute with the bleeding valves wide open after use.

    Yong heng question

You can do it either ways. Turning off the compressor before opening the valves will not do any harm to the compressor. My YH has auto shut off so it always turns off by itself while the valves are still closed. No problem whatsoever. The internal of the compressor is constantly under high...

    Yong heng weirdness

Umm... not sure if that's really logical. Bleeding the valve after filling also results in sudden pressure drop but I don't see anything happening to the gauge of my YH
