If I recall others have used a shim between the trigger group and the tube to alleviate this problem as well using the stock 2240 hammer. But I may be mistaken.

I have one of the "newer" Rapids that was built in USA and I love it. Mine is a .25 with a metal valve in it from Bucketboy and is a great rifle.

I have that setup on my Rapid as well. I have had mine off several times with no issues but was not replacing the o rings. I used a little silicon grease and rotated it back and forth when I slid it into place. Hope this helps. Brian

The Hm1000 serial number number is 0166 and the Theoben is 0098. But there is no online record of when they were built. I was able to find plenty of build date info before they moved production to the USA but none since. Here are a couple quick pics of the Theoben.

Not sure I follow your logic on the 20 yard 1 gun statement. If 1 is sufficient for 20 yards how many should I have if I was someone who routinely shoots 100 yards?
