This should NEVER happen in the first place, this isn't customer service, this is backpedaling and covering up fraud! 

huh?? so if you didn't say anything or notice the unsuspecting consumer would be lied to? This is 100 percent unacceptable and fraud, I would demand a new MK2 rifle ! Modifying a "mk2" to make it a mk2 is ludicrous!

That is a very poor design in my opinion. There should have been another design to take that pin out than to punch a hole in the top of the receiver. they could have AT LEAST don't it with a little more finesse and finish it with a cover of some type.

If I owned the Crown, I would mickey Mouse some sort of cover for that hole, tape, a cork, a rubber plug, etc... has anyone had any moisture, debris, dust, sand, dirt, go in that hole?.. just my opinion.... but the manufacturer should have thought of this no?
