I only shoot JSB and AA pellets in my Sumatra. When I buy pellets I always take my vernier to measure the head size. It must be between 5.51 and 5.53 for optimum accuracy. I've been burned before with 18 gr JSB pellets 5.52 that measured 5.48.... They sprayed like a shotgun! Shot these groups...

Play with the hammer spring first, if you screw up the hammer you'll need to order a new one. I won't drill the hammer.... Rather use a grinder.

Made a die to make these hollow points from 18gr jsb's. With my regular hollow point die accuracy is the same as the standard pellets.... Still need to test the new design for accuracy and expansion.

I usually shoot 18gr jsb's in the sumatra, but since these were the only jsb's in stock at my local gun shop I bought a tin to try.. 5.52mm De- tuned sumatra carbine... Velocity set to 910fps. 5 shot groups 44 yards no wind. Flyer top left was the first shot of a 6 shot group.
