AGT Vulcan 3 in .22 with slugs

Very nice shooting. I've also got the V3 in 22 but haven't shot it out to 100 and beyond yet. I'm casting the NOE 29 grain BBT slugs and the NOE 24 grain slugs and have had good results with the boat tails (BBTs) but not so much with the others. The BBTs shoot sub 1" at 70, so they are...

what age to start teaching to shoot

LOL. We are on the same page with the attention span issue. We had to be typing that about the same time!

what age to start teaching to shoot

I got most of my 11 grandkids started by the time they were six years old. I bought a couple Stoeger S3(?) break barrels from Midway for something like $30 each. Those little rifles have had at least 5000 rounds thru them and required just enough cocking effort that it was “doable” but was...

How many people have more than one PCP?

Vulcan 3 in .22. Easily tuned from 24 FPE to 60 FPE shoots slugs accurately and shoots pellets like a laser.

How many people have more than one PCP?

I’m not going to uncase a bunch of guitars, but there’s a bunch more Dreadnaughts, OMs, as well as electrics. Banjos fiddles and mandolins too. I deal with addiction very well……. Oh, and then there’s the airgun thingy. 😂 tried to attach a panoramic, but it wouldn’t work. Two other walls of...

    Looking for first pcp

In my humble opinion, the DAR Gen3’s are a steal right now at $300 from Pyramyd Air. I’ve got two of them in .22. One has been flawless after a hammer spring change and the other had a regulator issue that was easily solved. I will say this: don’t buy a PCP if you feel you don’t have the...

    Vulcan 3 accuracy with 34gr H&N slugs

I got my V3 in .22 a couple weeks back. Was shooting REALLY slow (750 fps w/18 gr JSB) so I pulled the stock and found the hammer spring locking screw wasn’t tightened down so it allowed the hammer spring tension to back off in transit to the point the adjuster was sticking out of the action by...

I think I bought that Discovery from you for my brother a few years back!

    Recipe for slug gun

Got my V3 today! 22 cal making 50+ FPE with ease and (like yours) is driving tacks at 50 yards which was all I could shoot tonight. Don’t know if it’s set up for low power or high power (unknown position of regulator - yet) but that’s with the stock hammer spring two turns in from flush...

    Donnyfl moderator recommendations

If you’re not going after high power with your Avenger and you’re going to mostly target shoot, I’d highly recommend a Buckrail moderator. They are 3D printed which makes them somewhat fragile when you compare them to a DonnyFL, but do a great job if you plan on staying under 45FPE. YMMV Oh -...

    Uragan or Uragan 2 .30

I have heard the Uragan and Vulcan do not share the same valve design. I believe one has a balanced valve and the other does not, but can’t remember which is which. I’m kinda in the same boat as you except I’m thinking Uragan II or Vulcan 3 in .22 instead of .30.

    Private Label Compressors

I’m nowhere near the either coast (Missouri) but I was fortunate enough to find a Bauer at an auction house a few years back. Had a Yanmar diesel on it. All records since new with 202 hours on it. Paid $1500.00 for it. That little 7 HP diesel was a booger to pull start - so much so that I...

    Alkin safety valve question.

I dont own an Alkin but i do own a Max-Air 35 (Coltri) and I wouldn’t intentionally trust my safety valve to release at 4500. When I bought the compressor I was told the safety valve was set for 4500. Never had it that high as I generally fill to 4350 and call it good. At what pressure does...

    Digital grain scale

Since I used to reload PBers I had a Dillon D-Terminator. Used it for powder and seemed to be very accurate. Has served me well for pellets/slugs as I now cast my own projectiles. Around $150.00, so not the cheapest one out there.

Kral Information Thread. “Contribute what you know “

Well, I don’t know if this is THE way, but here’s how I do a “B Staley” modification: Remove stock Back out Hammerspring adjuster til it pops out Remove Hammer spring Remove the screw at the pivot point on the sidelever (Bigger screw at the top of breech, not the linkage screw) Remove the...
