Brenton, The harder to shoot targets are the Masters 30y and 40y targets. The reason is because every bull counts vs. the “Challenge targets,” which allow for two pairs of bulls you can throw away and will not count towards your score. A good way to begin is to try shooting different rifles...

Re. Shallows - good to know both of you are having some good results so far.

Just got 5 tins of the shallows today from Pyramid Air. The pellets look to be of good quality. Out of town next week, but going to test them out in the RAW the following week. Will post my results first at 50y, then I’ll cherry pick a light wind day for 100y in the next few weeks.

I caught an error on the 40y challenge card. Should be a 186-9X vs.186-10x. I accidentally counted an “X” from a cross out bull. Tom

Here is my submission for the next 30y Masters leaderboard. 195-10X Shot a few 40y cards, but best I could do was a 186-10x for 40 y challenge. RAW submission also, very slight improvement.

Put that 36x 42mm fixed Sightron 2FP on the Akela next time, and I bet the score moves north of 190. Pretty nice stock on that Benjamin. Good shooting Jim and Ed. 😃

Thanks Tim. FX 25.39 shoot well for me also. I want to order some new shallows and Grands and try them in my RAW HM1000x. The Grands were out of stock almost everywhere.

Some pretty good scores considering that wind, especially for the pellet shooters! Anytime I see shooters aiming at the six ring ( or the box line) and getting those kind of scores; I’m amazed at the wind reading skills.
