Thank you for your prompt responses. I was under the impression that the FX Hybrid slugs are only meant for later models with the Smooth Twist X barrels and not the original FX Streamline with the simple Smooth Twist barrel.

I read somewhere that the original Smooth Twist barrel on the FX Streamline is not really meant for slugs. Not really sure how true that is. I'm thinking of ordering some slugs to test them out on my .22 cal Streamline. Which, if any, slugs would be the best choice ?

A better, smoother, more consistent shot cycle could never hurt anything, which is why I don't just plan on swapping the JM spring and adding its guides, but doing an overall tune/polish. As Gadballs9 mentioned: 'makes a nice gun MUCH more pleasant to shoot." And I'll always have the original...
