I checked out the Benjamin P17. Somebody could have mentioned the AK-47 type roll off trigger pull and the 3 dot sights with the rounded front sight that wont let you precisely level it with the top of the rear sight blade. Also, the notch in the rear sight is much too narrow for the poor light...

I didn't know that the pump gun had a peep sight. Not sure that helps me. I was wondering how a handgun with open sights could work with the removable rifle stock. Cause you see way too much thru a normal handgun sight when you put it up to your face like a rifle Thanks.

I paid $100 for it, back in 1974. :-) A nomad Browning, 6 3/4" barrel. In today's money, that would be $800. Any of the bull barrel Rugers can do it, for $350. I dont need 4 MOA in my pellet pistol. 1/2" groups at 7 yds are fine and that's just 7 moa. Up close, with iron sights, it's very...

what is the trigger pull like on a Benjamin Trail NP? I dont expect match grade High Standard .22lr sort of let off, but decent IDPA match sort of 1911 s trigger pull is about the mininum amount of takeup, creep and overtravel that I'm willing to accept. Thanks for your replies, guys.

    new guy with a question

I'd like to buy a .177 air pistol with some real accuracy, good sights and crisp, preferably light and no overtravel trigger pull, for precision practice in my home. I can group 2" at 50 yds with a match .22lr autopistol, using iron sights and a sitting-braced firing position, or 3" if...
