As noted by a few... Simplicity, challenge, accessibility, utility. I like knowing it's ready to go at any moment, which is often but not always the case with my PCP's. It's also good practice... as shooting a springer translates in many ways and could improve overall skill.

Hi Ktro, I load a lead pellet first, and push it in deep enough to allow for the felt pellet to follow. I shoot a "wet" one first and sometimes I'll do it again with a dry pellet (and lead pellet) right after. Seems to do the job fairly well. Regards, John

I use the cleaning pellet a ton. I almost never do a "full" clean of my barrel. To start out, I'd suggest a more thorough cleaning though, so patchwork might be good. Then afterwards, I just hit a cleaning pellet with ballistol and fire it (and a lead pellet) once or twice when it appears...

I get various ones, Do-all and others... they all are too thick to allow .177 and some .22's to pass through. I never shoot them in that (original) form. So I cut them in half, the long way. It's a bit tricky, dremel, hack saw, jig saw.... all work sort of. Best yet is a cheap band saw...
