Joe, thanks for the honest reply. I don't have the final answer yet, but the little info I've dug up suggests that FFP increases depth of field. This reduces the ability to range accurately. Good feature for hunting. Kinda sad because apart from that FFP is very nice.

I'm interested in this scope as well but am not sure FFP works for ranging targets. I have not seen anyone competing in field target with FFP. I don't plan to compete but plan to set up my own field target course. Any opinions on FFP for field target would be appreciated.

Hi Joe Do you have an opinion on the 3-15 FFP for field target use? I've not seen any FFP used in competition so wonder if FFP does not have the short field of view necessary for ranging targets.
