I’m in Coarsegold, CA about 45min south of Yosemite. I can’t believe how late the foliage has stayed green this year, there has been a lot of perfectly timed rain and cooler temps that are keeping the spring grasses from drying out. A week or less from now it will be dry and yellow.

Shot from 45 yards with a .25 25.4 JSB from Taipan Veteran with swfa 10x scope. I didn’t realize how small the one was until I retrieved it, pretty cute actually. The big ones not such a looker though, pretty Gnarly teeth.

I didn’t like the barrel droop the Ronin created on my 700mm Impact. Shorter barrels may not have the same issue as I had. I found the Sumo to be perfect and it’s way quiet enough for me.

Loctite can make the rings clamp harder at a given torque spec. I know Vortex doesn’t recommend using it on their stuff.

I’m sure you will have zero regrets with the Impact. I lurked on the forums for months studying what people were liking and it lead me to the Impact. Just something about that gun that makes it a joy to shoot. Have fun!
