I don't get silicone oil on anything but high pressure orings, ect., but I have been whipping my guns down with these so called "silicone cloths" for forty+ years. It feels oily, but not at all like silicone.

As you may allready know, if you raise a ring you change the scope angle in relation to the rings. That concentrates the stress of the scope clamps to the edges rather than an even distribution of the pressure over the inside of the ring. I originally bought these West Hunter adjustable rings...

The rifles have had the pistols jealous, so I did some maintenace. I leveled it, and added some SSP pistol targets. That is the thirty yard backstop. 75 yard backstop next!
