    Break barrel safety

Watching videos on the 'net, I'm surprised how many people I see break a gun down then load a pellet without holding the barrel to prevent it from slamming closed, potentially taking off a finger or thumb, or damaging the gun. I've never had it happen but that's because I ALWAYS hold the barrel.

    Other Today's pawnshop finds

I hit the three local pawn shops this morning. Here's what I got, cheap at one of them. A Gamo Varmit and an American Classic. This makes four, I think, of the 1377 style guns I have. The target pic shows the first three shots I fired with the rifle, without touching the scope.

    Crosman CROSMAN M4-177

At a "local" flea market yesterday I bought this Crosman M4-177 cheap because it wouldn't shoot. I took it apart last night and removed 3 stuck pellets from the barrel. It shoots good now.

    Crosman CROSMAN 150

I bought this Crosman 150 earlier today at a local pawnshop. I had been watching it for about a year. I installed a CO2 cartridge and fired it without a pellet a couple of times. It seems fine.

    12 oz Co2 quality?

I was watching a video on YouTube a couple of days ago and a statement made caused me to wonder about something that I had never considered. The video creator made the comment that Daisy 12 oz Co2 cartridges, in his opinion, are better quality than Crosman cartridges. He says Daisys are more...

    Other Chinese air rifles today

I shot two of my Chinese rifles today. I have two or three more that are under levers. One of these is a break barrel and the other is a side lever. Both shoot well and can shoot 2" groups at 25 feet offhand. I like the side lever best. I'm amazed at how well these cheap guns perform. One thing...

Crosman New addition to my collection

I bought this Pell Master 700 at a local flea market today. It functions as it should but has a minor leak. I believe they were made from 1968-1972.

    Crosman Powerline 426

    Crosman Remington Air Master 77

I have a dozen or more Crosman 760s and the variations of them but I just picked up my first Remington Air Master at a local flea market, cheap. It looks and shoots good but is missing the cap where the bbs are loaded.

    Other gonna try to trade

My favorite local pawn shop has a Crosman 150, that I believe to be an early one. They have had the pistol for several months that I'm aware of. I don't have a Crosman 150 pistol but I do have 4 Beeman Sportsman dual caliber rifles, including one new in the box. I think I'll attempt to make a...

    Crosman 2240 I bought today

I went to a local pawn shop this afternoon and found this like new 2240. I put in a CO2 and it works. The Gamo Blue Bomber pellets were included with a previously purchased gun. They were close at hand so that's what I shot today. Judging from the serial number I think it was mfd in 1987...

    Crosman Crosman 66 Powermaster

I discovered this 66 Powermaster mixed in with my dozen or more 760s. According to the serial number I believe it was made in 1999. I must have bought it with several 760s and didn't notice it was a 66. It shoots but weakly. I will try some oil and see if that brings it back.

    N/A Marksman Repeater

I recently picked up another Marksman Repeater, making two I now have. I had one when I was a kid and I remember it came with darts, but someone stole it, along with my Crosman Pumpmaster and my 38T CO2 revolver. I disassembled this one, cleaned it, and reassembled it today. I know they're...

    Daisy Inop 880

I recently picked up this Daisy 880, cheap, as you see it. Unfortunately it will not pump. It had been stored for quite some time according to the coat of dust. I put some oil on the pump, but still no pump. The gun looks like new evidently not having had rough treatment.

    Crosman More cheap airguns

Here are three more cheap air rifles I picked up recently. Crosman 760 Pumpmasters. All three of these shoot as they should. This makes about a dozen Pumpmasters I have now, including a couple new in the box(es).
