    Epic Tricky Winds Today

Testing out the 550mm LW barrel today on the .22 Epic Two. Winds out of my 4 o’clock at 19mph with switchy gusts to 30. The JTS 25.39’s did great running at 958. Shot the upper left to find my rough hold (6 shots) then ran down the line with (7) 5 shot groups. 50 yards to target. The consistency...

    Epic 249 (250 if plugged)

“Miss Piggy” was on point today. Epic Two, 700mm .22 LW flinging MRD shallows at 980 fps. Winds were 15 gusting to 27 coming at my 1 o’clock. My best 50 yard practice card to date.

Epic Tomorrow will be the day

Been sitting on this rifle for a few weeks now with very little time between work, weather, and the lack of daylight to really tune her in and find out what she likes. Epic Two with .22 700mm LW. So far the MRD shallow are showing the best results right around 970fps. Tomorrow I have the whole...

FX A new dress for the Crown

was browsing through UA and couldn’t pass on the price. MK2 Saber Tactical chassis, shoulders great and is an absolute rock on the bench.

    HW/Weihrauch 2 ish MOA

    50, 60, 72, 85, 102 yards. 5 shot groups. HW97 .20 running the JSB 13’s @ 720. Slight right to left breeze.

    FX Windy Conditions

Shooting into a 9mph twitchy headwind is challenging with 18gr pellets. I think I held pretty tight groups up to 85 yards. The 102 yard group opened up considerably. But hey, that’s pellets in wind. Love the Crown in the 380mm set up!

    FX You be the judge

A little bit of experimenting with moderators today. Crown MK2 in .22. 380mm barrel running FX 18.1 pellets at 878 fps. Weather was 50 degrees with a 3-5 mph tail wind when I shot. (4) 5 shot groups at 60 yards with each can. Seems to be favoring the 0dB and Sumo.

    True Ballistic

I asked this question on a few FB groups and got some feed back but looking for more. I saw a rifle review the other day and they were shooting into a solid backstop at 30 yards yet the chrony was recording velocity of the projectile out to 150 yards. This was at least the 3rd time seeing this...

    Beeman The Beeman R98 at 30, 50, 60, and 75

Another fun (but cold) day on the range. Wind was pretty steady out of my 4-5 o’clock with not too much variation so the groups stayed consistent pushing down and left. JSB 15.89’s at 680fps.

FX The Crown is still King

Pellets do just fine on my 113 yard home range so don’t have a need for slugs just yet. FX Crown .22 shooting FX 18.1 pellets at 895fps. 60 yards to target. 5 shot groups around the corners with 10 shot groups in the middle. Best 5 shot group was .291 inches and best 10 shot group was .495.

HW/Weihrauch 7.6 Foot Pounds of Fury

This one is for you Ron. HW30 at 30, 50, 60, and 75 yards. JSB 7.87’s @ 660fps. Wasn’t expecting anything spectacular with a 13mph headwind but was surprised with the 30 yard groups. Went 10 for 10 at 50 and 60 on the 3 1/2” spinners, and 8 for 10 on the 4” plate at 75.

    Looking to stir the pot….

Probably the most common question I see on all the forums and social media platforms (besides what gun should I buy) is the never ending which is better, .177 or .22? And I’m going to throw in .20 cal for all the haters and lovers of the caliber. I think this question mostly comes up with...

    HW/Weihrauch One of my favs

After a relaxing morning of shooting the spinners and plates decided to put the HW97 on paper for some groups. A mild headwind with a right to left push didn’t cause too much grief. (9) 5 shot groups at 32 yards then for the hell of it sent 10 shots out to the 85 yard plate. HW97KT in .20 cal...

    FX Plinking with the Crown

Some fun spinner plinking with the .22 Crown today running FX 18’s at 890 fps. Took 5 shots at each spinner. Yards are marked on the large spinner of each set, if I didn’t go 5 for 5 the hit count is marked on the spinner.

    FX Impulse Air Moderator Tuning

Did some moderator testing today with the Impulse Air 1350. The target card is 55 yards with (4) 5 shot groups. Top row is 3 baffles, middle is 4, bottom is 5. Groups were all pretty consistent 1/2” to 5/8” for the most part. A moderate 2-3 mph headwind did some pushing but nothing crazy. I saw...

    Sheridan Blue Streak Help

Well, this is where it all started for me. I have in my possession the actual 1st airgun I’ve shot, my uncle’s Sheridan Blue Streak. The bolt works and trigger/safety is functional. Problems are the barrel has separated from the tube towards the rear and doesn’t hold air when pumped. I want to...

    RTI Prophet Tune

14mph tailwinds out of your 7 o’clock is not ideal for groups. But no reason not to tweak a tune. 156 shots on the reg from the Prophet Performance 1 shooting the .25 FX 25.4’s. Have the reg set at 85bar, hammer spring screw is 1/2 out from flush. (25) 5 shot groups at 50 yards on the bench rest...

    FX My Cherry Pick

Not one to cherry pick a group but for this I had to. Installed the heavy Huma hammer and after a bit of tweaking found a happy place. First 10 shot group. 102 yards to target. Regs at 165 and 115. Wheel on 4 with the IHS 1/8 turn out. FX .25 34’s at 951 fps. Full string hopefully tomorrow with...

    FX Pushing the Maverick

Had the FX 34’s running at 948fps out of the Maverick tonight and they did pretty well. Square target at 53 yards with 5 shot groups on the corners and 10 through the middle. The 4” rounds were at 102yards with 5 shot groups. And of course the twitchy 3-5mph NY tailwind always makes things...

    .22 Crown 380

The New York winds were very cooperative tonight. 3-5 tail wind with a slight left push. Wanted to test a new tune I put on the .22 Crown with a 380 barrel and wasn’t disappointed. JSB 18’s @ 888fps, (12) 10 shot groups at 58 yards off 1 fill with probably enough left in the tank for 1 more mag
