    New bigbore

Wish I had gotten this to post on 4/1... lol Pretty sure it was from lightning in the storm yesterday but cool to see. If not from lightning I have a fly on steroids in my shop... 😆

It's so nice having talented friends

I've been blessed with parts from many fine makers. A few I've traded for, most I've bought. I did CAD many moons ago but still find it easier to have someone with a nice printer to put together a great part. Here's my new Gauntlet .30SL bottle clamp. Doesn't interfere with the shroud but helps...

N/A When it just fits right!

Mod team, not sure where to put this so move it appropriately. Barrels, ammo, PCP or general... 😆 goes with each... 😆 3 groove with a .2175 dia slug. Polished leade and fresh crown. Giving me high hopes on accuracy. I'll be headed to the range this weekend. Now just to decide what gun to put it...

Kral Arms Bighorn .357 with 28" barrel

Added the barrel from a Benjamin Bulldog. Lots of inside work on the valve and ports. Pushing the 145gr Nozler slugs at near 900fps. She's ready for a new shroud and will likely get a 700cc CF bottle to extend the shotcount and maybe squeak out a few more fpe.

    WFT rifle finally complete.

Started as a Kuzey K600. Lots of mods and AA & Feinworkbau parts plus a custom air Stripper. Topped with an Athlon 15-60x56

Tuning .177 for Hunter FT or just a nice hunter

This was a fun build. Learned even more about the Kuzey after this one. Required a mod to the plenum of the Huma to seal. Moved the o'ring from the inside to the outside At the valve seal due to the slight difference from the Kral valve. Kuzey uses more of an AirArms design than the Evanix...

Kral Arms Punching above it's weight class.

Wanted a longer barrel but not a longer OAL and to keep it looking original. 16" barrel. It's one of the rarer ones in .25cal shooting 26gr hades at 860-880fps. No choke so 25gr or so slugs also shoot pretty well. Only a magazine (10 shots a fill if I max out at 55fpe) I prefer to get more shots...

    Making tech drawings for parts

I studied drafting and made part prints most of the late 90's early 2000's for a metal fabricating shop. Now I find it rather easy to just use my phone. Here is an example so if you need something duplicated it's a nice way to send it to the shop doing the work.

Umarex Umarex Komplete refillable PCP conversion

So I bought my own for a knock around camping gun that I didn't have to worry too much about and could carry an extra nitro bottle with no need for a ton of extra things needed. No tank, compressor, or handpump. Works great for that. I ended up liking it far more than just a camping gun. Since I...

    Very accurate Raw barrel measurement

Does anyone have a Raw barrel lying around they could accurately measure for being able to make a drop in replacement? Trying to not have to buy one to make one.

    Barrels $175 .22cal 3 groove 350mm Leishy classic barrel

Made a 3 groove .22 Leishy classic barrel a while back. TJ Hammerforged with my 3 grooved design. .217 bore .212 land. Had forgotten about it but found it this week. $175 shipped CONUS only

PCP Rifle $275 600mm FX 3 groove Hammerforged barrel. CF sleeved

My custom designed 3 groove Hammerforged by TJ. Tested very well with both pellets and slugs. It's a .217 bore so anything .218 or larger didn't perform nearly as well as the proper sized slugs. 1in18" twist. Best for 24gr and under. FX Hybrids did exceptionally well. This is a test barrel prior...

PCP Rifle $275 700mm FX DRS 3 groove Hammerforged barrel upgrade

My custom designed 3 groove Hammerforged by TJ. Tested very well with both pellets and slugs. It's a .217 bore so anything .218 or larger didn't perform nearly as well as the proper sized slugs. 1in18" twist. Best for 24gr and under. FX Hybrids did exceptionally well. Uses a few barrel designs...

Tuning Why I love tensioned barrels

Used a 28" TJ .30 barrel. Tensioned using 1/8" steel tubing for added weight and stack of Bellville washers between the shroud and breech.

Kral Arms Another fun day in the shop.

The Kral Bighorn has a 580mm/22.8" barrel. The choke on the .25 is a touch tight but shoots pellets well anyway. I decided to make the shroud functional so my solution was remove most of that choke (Lost no speed after). Take a bad oversized .357 barrel end and re-thread both 1/2x20 (inside the...

Kral Arms Quick, cheap power upgrades

Seems lately I'm getting several Kral questions again. Here's a quick cheap trick to add some power. The trick is cheap but you need expensive tools or to make a friend with someone that has them... lol Tap the valve 1/4x20 at the valve stem exit. Epoxy in a 1/4x20x3/8ths brass screw. Turn the...

    Tuning .338 barrel blank

I picked up a .338 barrel blank years ago. Had been sitting a while before I got it. Bore is clean but plenty of surface rust on the outside. No big deal because it still fits inside a shroud I have. I'll and off the rust. Treat the surface and leave it full diameter for weight. I want to build...

    Kral Arms Purpose built airguns

I really enjoy having a rifle built for the purpose it's intended for. To me that means accuracy, power, and shot count match it's intended use. Since for me that's different for a lot of applications I keep them based on budget guns that I build out with custom parts so they do what I need...
