After 5 years into this game, I think i've started to figure out what makes a particular scope do better on a particular gun... as such, i have been playing musical scopes all weekend and the result are very satisfying.

So the 13.73’s in .20 are amazing in my <20 fpe TMX1000 EFT pistol but the <12 HFT TM1000 pistol definitely prefers the .20 H&N 11.43’s

update = I sent the scope back to Athlon for inspection and they found no issues but when I was taking the scope off I noticed that I had inadvertently used the incorrect ring inserts and this caused the parallax issue. final answer, this Athlon scope is fine, but the knuckle head mounting it...

You are probably going to need to buy used as your price point is very limiting.

Someone motivated me to experiment with a different .20 pellet weight. So I did some rearranging / ring lowering / scope swapping in my EFT / HFT TM1000 pistols - lots of busy piddling so I can zero things tomorrow and build some solid dope.
