It doesn’t look that great but it is much easier to cock and you don’t have to worry about messing up the rear sight. My eyes are too old for iron sights anyway.
It only does it when it's cocked. I'm not sure what size it, but it's definitely metric. It's in there at a weird angle too, you probably need about a half turn. If you tighten it up too much the trigger will become heavy, so it's a fine line.
Welcome! Shooting air rifles is a lot like long range shooting (same fundamentals) except a lot cheaper and you get to use a shorter range. Good luck. Peyton
Having a margarita and shooting my standing range with the HW30. Im really liking the 2.5”s at 25 yards, it’s like shooting soda cans and not having to pick them back up. It is very hot here in NC.
It’s so hot and humid here in NC I decided to put some larger targets out at 25 yards and do some shooting standing. I was surprised at how easy the 2.5” was for the HW40.
The only gun that I own that I have never had to work on modify or tune. It comes straight out of the box perfect. Btw if you slide the trigger shoe down on the post and slide the post back, it becomes quite nice 1lb 3 oz break.
The cheap compressors will work fine, especially in the beginning, if you're not sure you're gonna even like the sport. Just fill guns, not bottles and use them in a climate controlled setting to limit the moisture.
