Unless your ground squirrels are the size of raccoons, I think my 26 fpe Stormrider ($220) would do nicely. It shoots JSB 15.89 at 850 fps. No, I wouldn't take shots at 175 yds, but out to 50, sure. Walk and shoot.

During a hunting session no problem. Leaving it cocked overnight or longer I'd be nervous about dry firing by mistake.

Great post. I owned a mid-eighties blue and an early nineties silver that I bought at the factory. I just know they shot great. Sold them both around 2005. You don't know what you got till it's gone. They were terrific and potent shooters. Those 5 mm slugs were hard and punched through a lot.

The old .22 Maximus (with trigger upgrade and TKO) still shoots great. It hasn't leaked in 6 yrs and still hits 865 fps with cphp and 830 with JSB 15.9. Hits 1" spinners at 30 yds all day shooting off hand. Easy 2000 psi fill gives 25 good shots. My Stormrider has higher velocity but...

This is a good site to sell on. I price my stuff a little lower and it sells quickly. I prefer a getting a bank check. When the buyer sends me a picture of the check with my name and the correct amount on it, I ship. No problems so far.
