Mid barrel primary choke? ... is this a thing??

I have an Ataman M2 in .25 cal. Been doing some barrel work to improve accuracy and discovered this thing had what I'm going to call a "primary choke" mid barrel, pretty much halfway, and then a very tight choke at the muzzle....ive never encountered this before. I decided to fire lapp the...

Benjamin My .177 mrod shoots slugs, anyone else’s ??

The Green Mountain barrel on my old .25 Mrod was a machining disaster. It didnt shoot well at all but I don't the twist rate is a problem for lighter weight short slugs. I've got a few rifles in multiple calibers, with 17-18" twist rate barrels that throw the airgun slugs quite well. Some of...

    Diana Diana 250 accuracy issues

Airguns can be quite pellet picky but it's a lightweight, overpowered, economy airgun. I like to push a few different pellets through the barrel with a cleaning rod to get an idea of what I'm dealing with...loose bore, rough, good choke, etc...

What kind of solvent should be used to clean a air rifle?

I tried Ballistol once, theres something in it that is an irritant for me...instant coughing and headache. Interesting you mention Kroil and rust prevention..I remember reading multiple corrosion tests performed by hobbyists and WD40 never topped the list but it did pretty well and in all of...

What kind of solvent should be used to clean a air rifle?

I've had excellent results for many years cleaning my airgun barrels with WD-40. Removes light rust, loosens and lifts lead flakes, cleans pellet release agents left behind, and contrary to the myth, it does not damage orings. A few wet patches followed by seven dry patches, dozen shots to re...

Accuracy: I think once you have found the right settings and

Lot of factors involved...but when you are drilling pellet on pellet, you know what you got. For the very best accuracy, need to have a consistent power plant, a good barrel, and good shooting technique.
