Yes pellets are very different in their desire for velocity. The newer long range slugs have round noses and do prefer a slower speed though

Thanks Ultralight. Just got my 25 Mora sniper and set it to 910 for 50 grain Alteros and 1000 for 38 grain Griffins. Off to the range for the first time tomorrow

I've watched videos and read posts about adjusting the Mora regulator. They say to degas the gun every time you make adjustments. The latest manual from RTI says that you can increase the 2nd stage reg by turning the adjustment screw clockwise.. To decrease reg pressure it says to Crack...

1st group of 5 Alteros at 50 yards. Also shot 44 grain H&N slugs very well. Didn't try anything else

Just opened the reg some and the Alteros went from 850 to 930. That's smoking

Not sure where the reg is set. I understand that the Huma regulator has numbers but this has nothing. I also understand that with a balance valve there is little effect if the hammer spring is changed

I would like some good velocities for my Uragan 2 for 38 grain slugs and 50 grain Altaros. I am currently getting 960 fps for the 38 grain and 850 for the Altaros. Good groups but not great. My 25/700 Panthera likes 920 for the Altaros. When I got the Uragan it shot the 38 grain slugs...
