600mm barrel minimum length for slugs at the velocity you want. I have a Crown MK2 and would say it's a good rifle for pellets and likely slugs in .177cal. I haven't gotten around to tuning my 500mm .177cal slug liner yet but it should have no problem with that caliber and weight range.

If you can consistently hit a inch target at 30 to 40 yards, a head shot will put them down at that distance.

Unless I've done my math incorrectly, 3000 shots in one day would be 1 shot every 28.8 seconds for 24 hours. For 1 individual. No breaks.
