Does it really matter if you use the red for slugs only and black for pellets? It seems to me it works fine with either combination and I haven't had any issues with NSA or AVS slugs in my black mags? Thoughts?

I got my new M4 last week and ordered the slug STX Heavy liner with it, after more research it seems like I really don't need it for shooting slugs even with the different twist rate, I really only shoot 100 yards or so for varmints. Can I just use the one already in my M4 for slugs and pellets...
