Lots of good and bad points in the other thread. Yes the power on mine is adjustable. Can also be fitted with a Talon hammer and Condor hammer weight. Power adjustment range on mine was limited. With the stock guts, I had a low of around 800 and tried one shot approaching 920 at PW5...

The hammer spring adjuster will be a tough one. I do not have a way to bore a hole, and to cut a slot through the top will really guy the rear of the stock. Will have to think on it a bit. The regulator will be a challenge too for the same reasons.

So, i have an older (?) dreamline classic. Im getting higher fps on lower wheel settings. 820 at max and 827 or so at next step down. How can i adjust that hammer spring tension so the fps corresponds to the power wheel settings. Seems it(hammer tension) aint right for reg pressure of 125...

Hi Doc, Yep, if you have maxed out spring compression you only have two choices. A heavier hammer weight (you'll have to back off on the internal hammer spring adjuster because of the larger hammer head just to get the rifle to cock) or increase the reg pressure. It is way simplier to adjust...

Hi Doug, IMHO Ed has it right. He understands how the Crown works and has your setup. I also think his shooting at the 40yd AGN Challenge is proof positive that the .25 Crown is a winner. The only point that Ed makes that may need clarification is the measurement of the "Hammer Adjuster"...

On my drs the fps stoped at around 120-125bar with stock 10g hammer, I bought a huma tungsten (24g) and grinded it down to 18g and that has given me alot more adjustability with the hammer. And I dont need to max out the hammer spring so its lighter to reload also :)

I recommend a 15 gram hammer, stock spring 150 bar. I'm. Currently running the super heavy tungsten hammer weight and stock spring with 150 bar and it's just at the bottom of its tuning window on my 700mm 22 m3. The differences between models are minimal.

This... I'm somewhat new to the tuning game but the way I understand it is that it's a balance between reg and hammer spring settings. I understand it as, after you adjust the reg you'll want to adjust the HS to the knee then back off just a tad. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

That's the HST. You can adjust it without taking the bracket off. Just loosen the adjustable shoulder bit and you can adjust it. It doesn't take much force to adjust. Barrels are a smaller OD so cant swap between Zelos barrels :(. I was hoping they would be. Upside though, the 13mm barrels are...

I made sure that it's back to the original setting when I reassembled the gun.

The hammer adjustment is most likely on same place as regular drs, so you will have to take the stock of to get to it.

@greenbeans how did you go about removing material from inside the stock for the hammer adjustment?

Just purchased a Beeman Regulated Commodore in .177 and am trying to tune the rifle. The manual does not go into regulator adjustment, only adjusting the hammer spring, and my searches only come up with installing a regulator, not adjusting one. I can't find a schematic for the rifle either...
