In my experience the .30 caliber 45 grain AEA and JTS are identical in every way. The .22 and .25 have slight differences in shape, weight and performance. They’re probably made in the same factory by the same workers. I like the AEA versions better.

Pardon my ignorance, but do the "Nationals" count for AAFTA GP points? If so, how will this be calculated if the courses are different? Normally the high score for the event (out of the 3 classes) gets 100 points, then everyone below gets a percentage of his total.

For the .25 Altaros ATP Smooth 49.5 grain at least, I'd stick with the factory probe in the Panthera/Dynamic/King. Its sits perfectly at the tail of the slug and pushes the slug into the breech perfectly aligned. I don't recommend the pin probe in that situation. As far as the .25 Queens, or...

Or you could shoot the JSB KO 13.43 grain baby slugs at 930 fps, with a BC of 0.075 G1 and do pretty OK... Only saying that because I have an older .177 Dreamline 500mm that shoots the KOs at 930 fps and can keep most shots inside the 8 ring (2 inches) at 100 yards outdoors... I schwack ground...

Yes Scott, that was an eye opener for me, especially when you did so well in the EFT GP event with .177 Beast at the same competition... Slugs would be an improvement; Pellets would be difficult as noted above.
