For every guy like you, there's many many more that like them. Yours look like crap, rust, grunge all over it. I have one that's been running for 10 yrs. With a piston swap every couple years. I use it every day
After the install, dont torque down the 2 large Allen screws all the way, on the lower cylinder. Turn on briefly, turn off, tighten a little more etc. It worked for me several times.
I have the Webley in .22. Shoots tight groups at 15 yrds. I think its an awesome pistol. I had the newer Zoraki in 177 and it had a better trigger and it came with threaded barrel for silencer.

not sure, I know to tell the difference look at the beak, but really dont know. They were full grown adults for sure. Felt bad afterwards, but it's very rare for me to see them and actually shoot one.
