What are you going to do to fix those 6's? ;-) Nice shootin'! GsT

Microscope pictures of ZAN BR100 30 Cal 56 Grain Pellet and ZAN .30 Cal 45.5 Grain Slug

...like? Do these differences matter, and how much? I've gone deep down the rabbit hole of precision shooting with powder burners (and it's a *deep* hole) and interesting as well. Lots of things that would absolutely kill accuracy at extended ranges don't matter a whit at short ranges...

What Red Dot scope is your favorite and why.

Aimpoint Acro. Compact, can mount closer to the bore, or (with mounts) get it to wherever your face fits. I use mine on my 3-gun AR as a secondary optic for close targets. Close second is the C-more. A bit weird to zero, but they just work and the optic is large and visible. I have an...

    Nosey Neighbors?

My neighbors are terrible. One of them caught me shooting ground squirrels and immediately demanded that I come shoot hers! Be careful out there folks! GsT

    Front rest recommendation’s

Look into Lenzi, and the Raptor from Rodzilla. Then the SEB will seem reasonable... (all great rests, BTW) In all seriousness, a Hart rest with a top from Shade Tree Engineering https://shadetreeea.com/ is right at the crossroads of excellence and economy. GsT

Sheridan Decided to go old school

That's a beautiful set, and I love that you've embraced the "scout scope" concept - Not only does it work well with single-loaders, but it's very fast to take a shot. GsT

    Metal Target Paint

The super cheap paint is NOT a bargain - very thin, seems to be more propellant than paint. I look for anything that's about $4 a can. GsT

    What do you shoot

I have an assortment, but what I shoot most are my EdGuns - Leshiy Classic, Leshiy 2, R5M. Target-wise, some pesting: ground squirrels and pigeons (rock dove) top the list. Quite a bit of paper, some foam targets I make from anti-fatigue mat, and spent .22 casings. Also a few bits of steel...

    LabRadar

We'll see... I shoot more powder burners than airguns, and I haven't used my LR at all since getting the Garmin... GsT

Arizona - Any good squirrel shooting locations?

Those are round-tail ground squirrels: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Round-tailed_ground_squirrel We're over-run with them. GsT

    LabRadar

...The Garmin is much more reliable. The LR works best (for airguns) with the external microphone ("airgun adapter") which needs to be placed just *ahead* of the muzzle, but obviously out of the pellets path, to trigger reliably. It's tedious to say the least. The Garmin just works, but won't...

    Careful when filling

Is it? I don't see an answer, other than "be careful" - which is certainly always true, but uselessly vague. Joe, by all accounts is experienced and knowledgeable, so understanding the full story behind this disaster would certainly better enable others to "be careful". I also wish Joe the...

    Mental game practice

I highly suggest Olympic gold medal rifle shooter Lanny Basham's book "With Winning in Mind". It covers a lot of what's been said here, and more, and to a greater extent. I have some audio thing of his as well, perhaps the same title. Well worth it. GsT

    Lelya best Scope Options?

Monstrum! Cheap, but in my experience not at all bad. Those rings are tres overkill, particularly for a PCP if I wanted to ditch some weight that's the first place I'd go... If the scope works for you, keep it. I have also found the Vortex Viper PST II to be a good fit, but finding...

Tarantulas, tiny Kill Zones, and the DRS

I leave 'em be. There are a lot of them here, particularly around our hiking areas, but they don't seem aggressive - usually just flying through, or around. I've heard stories about their stings, but it doesn't seem likely that I'll experience one without trying, GsT

Official Thread - Alkin owners - check in!

\ That's a vertical, without auto drain. There are several features to identify the auto drain model, some of which are solenoid valves (electronic 'blocks') where you have manual valves on the left-front of the compressor. GsT

Low End Vs High End Bipods

Mostly you're buying a higher quality device - better fit and finish. It used to be that only the expensive 'pods had swivel tops, but now there are plenty of less expensive units that do (and still some that don't...). Spending reaches a point of diminishing returns though, where you can end...

    Airgun Depot Mystery Box Opinions

I can't figure out why anyone would sh*t on the people that participated. It's not like they were duped. If you think it was a dumb decision to participate, then why not just not particpate and let those that enjoy it have some fun? As I said before - I'll participate next year (if I can...
