What pistol did you shoot today

I looked lovingly at my GK1. I have some new neighbors who seem like they won't have any problem with it, but I haven't mentioned my habits yet and don't want to freak them out right away, that little can does not do enough to make it friendly sounding. Still a bang as opposed to a "chuff"...

FX Going to buy a new FX ? Do it now. I mean like right now

And I'm willing to guess they would not ever lower the price again should tarrifs change. Certain types of businesses always take advantage of opportunities to parasitize their supporters - pretty perverse. Good ones to avoid in my opinion... seems to be a problem mainly when companies get a...

Airforce Worst PCP ever and I am ashamed that I fibbed.

Lots of reasonable descriptions of some of the real shortcomings, but I don't understand why it translates to a lack of respect for the platform. It seems lik folks are comparing the equivalent of a tractor to a luxury automobile and then acting like it's some kind of shortcoming. A luxury car...

    The past & now!

Same experience here. That yong heng worked fine but it was a whole experience - bucket, hoses, ear protection, some kind of vibration absorbing surface to put it on, and it had to be in the basement or the garage because of the noise. I keep my CS4 in the corner of my living room, such a...

Pellet packing: Midway USA vs Pyramyd Air

I'm glad you had good luck. But they followed up one mistake with another, and then stopped responding when I told them and sent photos that the replacement pellets were shipped the same way and came damaged. This told me all I needed to know about this company.

Pellet packing: Midway USA vs Pyramyd Air

That is such a big improvement over what midway used to do. When I ordered last they sent pellets loose in one of those thin plastic bag mailers - four tins just knocking around in a plastic bag 😂 Obviously they were trash completely. I managed to get somebody with some responsibility to...

help with moderator for Evanix Rex P 9mm/.357

I love my .357 rex P... got a used one here years ago. That thing is loud without a moderator that's for sure. I ended up getting one made by Neil Clague - very reasonable price and high-quality.

Thomas Air Damaged skirts, does it really matter?

When I have recovered pellets that did not get crushed by impact the ballooning of the skirt was obvious - clear to see that the skirt was pressed flat against the barrel

Huben Huben GK1 not precise at all. What I am doing wrong?

Are you having the grouping issue without a moderator on the end?

Yikes, that probe… was there an explosion or is that due to hammering the magazine out or something?

    Kral Arms I like

.22 Kral Empire X-s with a bug buster 3-9x32 This thing puts a smile on my face every time. I moved the cocking arm to the left side which allows me to keep my right hand on the grip. I like the forward position. The action had a little play but a nylon washer and a couple of small o-rings at...

Airforce Is Airforce Talon .177 (no P, no SS) backyard friendly if I tune it down to 700-750 fps ?

I had a .177 talon SS tuned to mid 800's (don't quite recall) that was pretty quiet. Just a little thwack and tank ping.

    Quieter than quiet GK1?

There was a 3-D printed design from a member here, "subscriber" that handled the problem with the front sight by being asymmetrical, with a larger volume below the centerline. Baffles were designed in such a way as to minimize asymmetrical airflow experienced by the pellet, a pretty well thought...

    'Best' budget .25 pellets?

That works out to be 16 bucks for 300 same as FX pellets from Trenier

Trajectory effected by pellet weight and design?

I think part of the reason for this place is to help folks you are learning to get started so I wouldn't worry about asking basic questions. And Google just turns up garbage these days it seems… Yes, all else being equal, changing the weight of a pellet will affect the way it is accelerated in...

    Huben My Huben damaged !

Yikes! How did that happen? Almost seems like the screw on the right side was not tightened down… Have you opened up the back at one point? I'll have to double check mine because I did take the back off once.

    Huben Huben Gk1 Super Short.

You get a considerable jump in power from the heavier slugs and more air is used per shot: they stay in the barrel longer, and back pressure means the valve stays open longer and releases more air. I cast my own 48 and 50 grain slugs (MP molds and NOE).

    Home made projectiles?

There are some different places where you can buy molds. Some calibers and styles are easier to find than others. Basic equipment is a mold, mold handles, a melting pot, a lead thermometer, ladle, protective gear, and a few other things to help manage the process. It can get quite a bit more...
