Utah Airguns Moving Sale 6/30/25 - Save Up To 50% Off

Saying UA and Sale in the same sentence is an oxymoron. They used to be my go to source for supplies. Now they are the last resort. Not only has pricing gotten high, but service and knowledgeable are a rarity. I hope Justin reads this thread and rethinks his path. They used to be great. twelve...

FX Help with tuning Wildcat down

Look and make sure there isn’t a washer on your hammer weight. If I remember my Maverick Sniper had one and it made a significant difference in the power level. If not as 6gun said, check your power wheel setting. How long of a barrel do you have on the WC?

RAW Rapid Are higher powered PCP's more difficult to shoot accurately?

I have found tweaking a gun to operate at it’s max or near max potential usually ends up making a finicky gun. I prefer to let my guns operate in a more relaxed state. Harmonics seem easier to tame when you are not trying to make a PB out of an AG. I think people forget that they are shooting an...

    Fx maverick

I have owned 2 of them. My first was a 22 Sniper. It was a great gun but sold it and moved to the M3. The second one is a 25 compact. It has spent a little time as a 22 compact and in the winter it serves as my indoor league gun as a 600mm 22. Very easy to change between barrels and calibers.

    A good farm gun ?

FX Panthera Comapct Hunter in 30. Cal. It will be overkill on the birds but throw in foxes and I would want a 25 cal. Add Coyotes and I want a 30 cal. Within 75 yards 30 cal pellets will do fine on coyotes. The Compact Hunter is limited on power for a 30 but will easily develop 77 fpe with a...

    Forum moderator enforced rules

I like this forum a lot And it has proved valuable to my growth in this hobby. I find a several of the discussion restrictions to be irritating and irrational. However, it is not my forum so not my rules. If people don’t like the rules they are free to leave. Making a spectacle of departing says...

All of my FX guns prefer a dish based slug.

FX The outrageous cost of High quality airguns WOW

high end air guns are expensive compared to what? Others have mentioned some costly habits,er uh hobbies. I used to run white water jet boats. Back then a good one set you back $60K, repairs were horribly expensive and they ate fuel at a rate of around 11-12 gallons an hour in heavy rapids. I...

Accuracy testing new pellet brands and weights

Don’t discount tuning. Few guns leave the factory “tuned” and if they are tuned, what pellet were they tuned to shoot. Usually tuning at the factory is more of a function test than a tune. However, pick a pellet weight you want to shoot and DON’T buy 4 tins of different pellet. Buy one and try...

FX New First...Not a Good Thing, Stuck Slugs in Barrel!

I have had to melt slugs out once for myself and a couple times for friends. Less chance of damaging a liner than with tapping which ofter turns into beating the slugs out. The liner does not have to be heated to red hot for the lead to melt.

    Please Explain

basically one is specialty produced for your specific need. The other is mass produced and manufacturers have a lot of competition. A lot more in the last 10 or so years. Seems everyone wants in on the sporting optics game

    Coyote 1:01

I have been on a on again off again pursuit to call a coyote to an air gun kill. My first outing went well except I was not prepared and learned some important lessons. 1. Have your gun up and ready. 2. Yes there is such a thing as coyotes fever. Just like buck fever. 3. When you are ready to...

    Eating what you kill

I tried rock chuck once. That was enough. The ground squirrels here can and do carry Bubonic Plague. Wildlife folks warn against handling them let alone eating them.

    Nickel, Dime, Dollars 😂

it all depends on how big your shovel is and how much area do you have to throw dirt. I dug my own rabbit hole in this sport and am in the process of filling it back in about half way. I only have time to shoot 3-4 guns and I own 8.

    POI shift ?

I believe it is an issue and not just with FX. I have seen people report other makers guns doing the same, just not near as often as FX. I own several of the most offensive FX guns and it is not an issue for me. My Maverick and neither of my M3’s have suffered the malady unless dropped or some...

    FX Fx m4 .177 to .30, hammerweight?

put a heavier hammer weight in it. When I changed my 22 cal M3 600mm to a 30 cal 600mm I already had a hammer weight from a slug power kit in the gun and it works perfectly

Brocock/BRK Can moisture in a PCP affect accuracy?

Your issue does not sound like water in the gun. You are having a POI shift and if the groups are shifting but not growing I would look elsewhere for your issue. Maybe the reg or maybe the bottle gauge. If your gauge is bad they usually read high due to the Borden tube in the gauge going bad. If...

    FX FX Maverick 30

Dump the pin probe. It sounds like the previous owner wanted to shoot slugs and didn’t do a complete job of putting all the stuff together correctly. I have 4 FX slug guns and there is not a pin probe in any of them. The velocity gain is minimal and common sense should tell you that the larger...

N/A Slug Life - A Thread Dedicated to Showing and Discussing PCP Slug Guns

I have been shooting slugs since I got into this game. So not that many years ago. Back then they were a pain but I was determined to figure it out. These days they are not the mystery and voodoo they used to be. For some guns they can still be challenging but in guns designed to shoot slugs it...
