I believe it is a C9PB. I have a 1991 C9 BS with the same front plug, look at the one a few posts up, same front plug, then there is one further up with a black plug. The one with the black plug looks to have the same forearm contour as mine and was built in 99, also the box pictures a white...

It showed up yesterday. Pumps up and it held it's 2 pumps for 24 hours. Haven't shot it yet, here's a few pictures.

That is the adapter, not the moderator. The moderator would attach via the threads.

Thanks for the information. I would like a valve that may give it a bit more velocity, love to have it shooting 475-500. Haven't decided if I'm going to tackle it myself or find someone to do it, it's a very early gun and I'd hate to screw it up.

Does anyone know if you can still buy the rebuild kits from Tim at Mac1? If not what is the next best source? Any recommendations for someone to do the reseal if I decide not to try it?

Well I bought a very early 78G, SN Q001115. I will have a lot of questions once I get it. Pretty sure it will need to be resealed, I was told it shoots but looses the Co2 after a few days.

I can't stand spring twang. I shoot the gun for function then have it tuned.

Does anyone know how big the pourus casting issue was on the very early guns? Was it a lot of them, a few???

Re-arranged the air gun cabinet to fit in one more that will be here soon.

I don't have to have one, but I don't currently have a Co2 pistol and thought this would be a good one. I'll just keep my eyes open for a deal.

Was the lack of rifling also found in the 79G? I've never heard of this until A&Gman told me his original barrel had the lack of rifling.

I've been watching these guns and it seems there are a lot of people that think they are worth $350 or higher, but I do not see them actually selling for that. What is a fair price for a resealed 79G with adjustable trigger. Haven't seen it so I do not know condition.

I also noticed mine has a chrome cap on the compression tube vs. painted that is shown on this one. I don't care about value, I'm just trying to understand what I have.
