N/A Accuracy problem - Did you do a pellet check?

Wow, any other photo could not have driven home the point more clearly! Nice job.

    Squirrelfest

Bayonet, that’s a good one! The two-yarder was a young, dumb one who came up to my shooting position. I didn’t use Strelok or even the scope, just by guess & by golly. That one took two shots. Landowner said he’s tried rimfire but after one shot they all disappear for the day. I love my quiet...

    Squirrelfest

Helped out a landowner with an over abundance of the hole diggers. For comparison that hiking boot is a size 12, though there were lots of small juveniles too. Got about 25 the first day in about 3.5 hours. Shots from 2 yards to about 70. A capable rifle sure is a joy

JSB MRD's...I know I'm late to the game

My 700 mm superior liner (1:24 twist) liked them at 970 FPS, but I haven’t yet found a velocity with the heavy liner (1:16) that is as precise at 50 or 100 yards. Do you guys find the heavy liner better for MRD’s? Wind is a big issue at 100 for me and one I’m not good at reading or...

    I ask why?

I get what the OP is saying. I’m after precision and accuracy, would love to get MOA reliably from 10 to 200 yards but want a reasonable shot count and a quiet, non-stressed rifle. For now my tightrope is slugs in the low 30 grain region. I guess some just want to see what is ultimately...

22 Cal Huben Peanut slug specifications for Strelok?

I have some of those Alteros ATP slugs your link refers to, which are great, but actually I meant the Huben Peanut slug shown here: https://www.hubenairguns.com/home/goods/show/id/319.html Which appears to be a slightly lighter Chinese knock off with a hollow or cup base instead of flat. Both...

22 Cal Huben Peanut slug specifications for Strelok?

Anybody know the specifications I can plug into Strelok for the 22 Huben Peanut? At the least I need BC & drag function which I have been unable to find anywhere online or on the tin. Thanks in advance and happy 4th of July to those of us stateside! White Feather

    Heavy Pellets for .22 Maverick

I think the same tune (or nearly so) for pellet & slug is doable depending on your expectations. I tune for slugs looking for MOA at 100-150 yards because that’s harder to achieve. A few clicks on the macro wheel or just turning the valve in allows me to stack JSB MRD’s at 50 yards, so any pests...

FX MO 4 cocking lever tension

Same experience here so I put a stack of three small neodymium magnets on the inboard face of the cocking lever. Farther forward is better but not so far that the lever won’t close to its natural position. I then placed heat shrink tubing over the magnets, cut long and slotted to wrap around...

To glue your carbon fiber sleeve or not?

I think if I were to do this again I would use an epoxy less viscous than JB Weld, like maybe West System epoxy. The small clearance between liner and carbon sleeve makes me think the thick JB Weld may have left voids between the two, but that's just a guess.

    Donny fl and fx tuner.

I’ve been wondering about a moderator with a small chamber filled say 50% with a fluid or a gel. Would it have some beneficial damping effect. Imagine filling such a thing with magnetic fluid and making it tunable like a magnetorheological shock absorber in a performance car.

    Finally used my boroscope

Scrubbed the bore with a bronze phosphor brush after treating it with CLR for 30 minutes (something I read in an article by a world-class PB bench rest star). Bore at the muzzle looks much better and yes, the liner has twist. Can't wait to shoot it at 100 yards to see if it has improved. I...

    FX Recommended M3 rebuild kit?

There is a complete o-ring list for your rifle here on the forums, just need to search. I took that info to Oringsandmore and for $32 including shipping got a lifetime supply. Not a one time rebuild kit but like 10-20 of each needed.

    Finally used my boroscope

Subscriber, I doubt the rifling at the muzzle end lacks twist, but I’ll snap a photo when I pull it apart for scrubbing. Not much will show though, since I’ve bonded a carbon sleeve to the liner. Twist is I think 1:24 so quite slow. One magical day, I got five MOA and smaller groups at 100...

    Finally used my boroscope

So I've been using Ballistol wet patches, followed by dry ones pulled through with a Patchworm. I mostly shoot slugs in the 27 grain range with a few JSB MRD’s out of my choked standard FX liner. I'll follow that up with some Trewax because if it's good enough for Motorhead, it's good enough for...

FX FX Impact M4 MOST IMPORTANT CHANGES

My stock M3 700mm 22 cal can use about 125 bar of reg max. I would need a heavier hammer/different spring to make use of more pressure.

Advise on asking questions about anything

Gee, I would have to go back and read through my posts but I hope I haven’t been rude here and ghosted anyone. I always search before asking but at work the “thank you” emails just makes for another email. I get that it’s the social grease but like on a Zoom meeting I quickly become aware that I...

    FX Barrel Liner Indexing

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to permanently mark the muzzle? After indexing years ago I scratched the index mark on the outside of the liner, but it’s not visible with the muzzle nut installed. I’ve used both paint and marker but they’re only good for one assembly. Since the liner...

FX Set up fx impact m4 sniper 700mm using 22 jsb jumbo monster 25.39

Same rifle and I’ve had good results at 960-970 FPS shooting the MRD. Regularly one hole at 50 yards.I don’t think you’ll need 2nd reg above 110 bar, but try lower first.
