What springer did you shoot today?

Sorry, I managed to typo 280 for 380. This is my 380 in my indoor rolling FT caddy. I shoot it across my dining room/kitchen area which measures out to right at 30 feet. I have another gun that I shoot with peep sights, but this one in scoped at 6x and helps me practice dealing with the...

    Airgun values

Beau, My bad. I was clearly tired last night and managed to mix my gun models in like 3 different strings I was following. I'm pretty sure I probably caused confusion in at least 3 different topics just based on typos and mis-stated model numbers alone. It is the 300s that you have listed...

    The Remarkable Anschutz 220

In the case of my Olympian teammate, she was most concerned about the gun being exactly fit to her frame and dimensions so that it "felt" just right. she had an exact balance point, and her gun had lots of indexing marks scribed on it. We were also shipped the best Eley match ammo available at...

    The Remarkable Anschutz 220

If I had to rate my springers based on accuracy, I would say that a well maintained 300s, if properly sealed and with the right pellets, is my most accurate gun. From a bench or my F-class bipod, it's really accurate. I regularly beat some of the PCP guys. The 380 is close, and the Diana 54...

    Airgun values

Out of curiosity, I am assuming the Anschutz that you are speaking about above is not the Anschutz 2002 that you have listed in classifieds as a WTT deal? I am interested in the 2002, but am waiting out my 10-day newbie waiting period..... :(

It also should be noted that once you are on the e-mail list with the match director (Dave), you don't have to be a member of TRRC to come out and shoot. An access code will be sent out for the main gate for the event to get you into the range.

And, a really nice gal that helps with tallying the scores also tends to bring brownies and cookies. You can't go wrong with home baked goodies.

Pretty much everyone had been shooting at 25 yds just because any wind on the airgun range really moves the pellets around when you are only throwing like 600FPS. It is a pretty good bunch of guys, moslty PCP, many of whom also shoot in the N50 matches on other weekends. I shoot 22LR at those...

    The Remarkable Anschutz 220

I am also a fan of the SSP guns, but parts are getting harder to source. My bro has a FWB 601 and I have an Annie 2002 SuperAir. That is truly no recoil, but I cant shoot it in the springer class. Its essentially a self contained PCP according to most of the rules.

Also FWIW, the Diana 75's are really a chore to rebuild IMO, much more complicated than a 300s. I also wouldn't say they have less recoil than the 300s,. Great engineering though, and they definately have a following.

    The Remarkable Anschutz 220

As for the classified 300s or SU, I have extra sights, but I would likely scope it, and am mainly looking for a 2nd one that I can use for non BR matches. My BR 300s has a Sightron fixed 36x scope, so it isnt too good for positional shooting. I'm pretty good at rebuilding them and the seals...

    The Remarkable Anschutz 220

Yes, that's my typically bad typing skills. It is a 380. Since I have both, I think the major difference is that the 380 doesn't really care if I hang a heavier scope on it. I try to keep the 300s scope weight down so that it doesnt affect the movement of the action and barrel much. The...

I think there is also an Airgun BR match at TRRC on June 14th. Those are held separate from the N50 matches.

It's too bad that the match was held on the holiday weekend. My brother and I had wanted to make it to some FT matches but Memorial Day plans were in the way. If I remember correctly, the TRRC web page shows another FT match on June 28th.

What springer did you shoot today?

I also spent about an hour shooting KYL targets at about 30 yds with my Diana 54. It's not totally recoiless, but its way better than most springers as far as thump and still throws led at about 850fps.

What springer did you shoot today?

I spent about an hour shooting my Annie 280 offhand. I basically bought the gun because it is very close in weight, balance, and trigger to my Annie Match 54 in 22lr. It's a really nice gun. I can at least keep up with most if not all of the local SSP and PCP guys standing, Not bad for an...

    The Remarkable Anschutz 220

On a related note, I currently shoot my FWB 300s in BR competitions. The springer class isnt very big. I also have an Annie 280 and a Diana 54 that I have set up for field target matches.

    The Remarkable Anschutz 220

Hello, I'm new to this site so please be patient while I try t get in my "10 quality posts" as I sit idly by, slowly counting the required 10 days.... ultimately, I am interested in a 300s that is listed as WTT in the classifieds. I have a nice scope to trade that meets the sellers request, but...
