Huben GK1 - Carbine or Stock Mods

Yeah I guess it’s just “because they can” :D But I would also stay far away from a construction like this :/

    Huben pistol.

It’s a China based company. Fyi: i’ve had my mount delivered in a day or 8-9 (I’m in The Netherlands, EU).

Huben3dparts is great (y) You could also try this: https://www.reddotmate.com/product/huben-gk1-rear-sight-mount/ Also well made, works perfect.

    Huben pistol.

It’s actually just the scope rings and picatinny adapter that are from Eagle Vision. The scope is a Pulsar Thermion 2 XP50 Pro (thermal, laser range finder an ballistics calculator in one). My GK1 changes form from time to time :D From reddot: To carbine: Sticking with the Buck-rail...

The Eagle Vision adapter is very well made (much better indeed than the cheaper alternatives).

    Huben Huben k1/gk1 cleaning pellets

I estimate no more than 500 since I got it a few months back. I guess it was dirty from the shop :( I noticed the magazine was dirty when I first got the rifle. Figured it was from testing the rifle.. My GK1 came the same week; shiny clean magazine. Ah well, all clean now :)

    Huben Huben k1/gk1 cleaning pellets

In the middle of doing this now with the K1, indeed a better way to clean and inspect.

Pro tip: take off the shroud before using these ;)

    Huben Huben k1/gk1 cleaning pellets

Just to check, did you only need those 4 cleaning pellets to get a clean result? I’m down like 50-60 of those pellets and it’s not getting any cleaner :/

    Huben pistol.

https://www.sportshooter.de/de/hogue_ar15_m16_beavertail_mit_fingerrillen-54061.html The original Huben wooden grip is not based on a grip standard. That’s where the buck-rail adapter comes in :) (takes standard AR grips)

    Huben pistol.

Maybe you have it mounted upside down? (/the other way around)

    Huben pistol.

Buck-rail AR grip (and picatinny) adapter in combination with a Hogue grip looks (feels, and fits) pretty nice!

    Huben GK1 mounts etc.

Closest thing I know of is the mount by ‘Ethan Corb’ on the GK1 facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/share/6FqmZXyFbcKW3jvL/?mibextid=K35XfP Nice guy, makes cool (alu!) stuff.

Huben GK1 - Carbine or Stock Mods

For anyone not needing ‘top notch quality’, but needing a cheaper alternative, take a look at airsoft stocks, plenty strong: https://www.sixmm.com/en-nl/products/maddog-dual-folding-buttstock-for-m1913-m4-ak-adaptertype-2 (If you search around it can be found even cheaper I think..)

What are your thoughts on replicas?

Ahh yes, replica’s.. I had a mild collecting addiction regarding those things. Mostly GBBs, to stay as close as possible to the real deal. That was good fun!
