yong heng shuts off after piston replacement

I assume to just lube the lower large piston chamber and not the smaller high pressure area?

yong heng shuts off after piston replacement

Don't know which direction the first stage rings are; they were already on the piston when I got it. I took a look at the old piston and the bottom ring is different from the upper two--it is split and almost looks like two rings. I don't recall if the new piston was similar.

yong heng shuts off after piston replacement

Could be the motor, but it didn't trip the breaker with the old piston.

yong heng shuts off after piston replacement

I took the plastic shims from the old piston; instead of one on either side of the piston they were both on the motor side and that is how I placed them on the new piston.

yong heng shuts off after piston replacement

No. Should I and if so with what? I have to amend my previous post, I checked for leaks again with soapy water and found two. Ran the compressor again and it did not trip the house breaker but it did shut off. Having trouble stopping the leaks--connection at top of low pressure block and...

yong heng shuts off after piston replacement

I don't use an extension cord and the only time the compressor has tripped the breaker previously was during the 100 degree weather we had last year. It's a real yong heng and the new piston is almost identical to the original. I will say that the old piston did not look as dirty or oily as...

yong heng shuts off after piston replacement

No odors. I removed the cover and didn't see anything burned or unusual.

yong heng shuts off after piston replacement

I tried that and had no leaks. I just ran the compressor again and it ran for a couple of minutes before tripping the house breaker when it reached approximately 230 bar. Maybe the new piston has to wear or settle in some more? Also, my tank pressure is at 230 bar so the compressor didn't...

yong heng shuts off after piston replacement

I also wanted to mention that I ran the compressor for 15 minutes under no load and it did not shut off.

yong heng shuts off after piston replacement

Thanks for the responses. The compressor is 2.5 years old with 6 hours run time. It is the hardcase model with no auto stop. When new it would fill a scott 45 minute tank from 200 to 300 bar in 12 minutes. The last time it was able to fill to 300 bar it took 20 minutes and the last three...

yong heng shuts off after piston replacement

It definitely sounds different before it shuts off. The temp was never higher than 50 degrees and the compressor only runs for a short time. I haven't checked if the motor gets hot.

yong heng shuts off after piston replacement

I replaced the piston in my yong heng since it wouldn't get over 250 bar when filling my tank. With the new piston the compressor shuts off near 250 bar. The breaker is not tripping and I don't have an auto shutoff model. What can I check?

    Daystate Daystate revere .177

I've had my Revere for over 7 months with over 5000 shots and that has not happened. I don't see how that o ring can migrate there without it being broken or not installed properly.

Daystate Daystate Revere or Weihrauch HW100 for field target.

Please enlighten me, how did you adjust your revere trigger to be lighter? When I adjust the second stage to where I like it the gun won't cock when I replace the locking grub screw. It takes trial and error to back off the adjustment screw enough so that the locking screw will allow the gun...

    How, by replacing the springs?

My biggest complaint with the revere is the heavy trigger; you can't adjust the pull weight, just the sear engagement. I actually prefer the trigger on my marauder f&t.

Daystate Daystate Revere or Weihrauch HW100 for field target.

I use a Huntsman Revere Safari for open class FT and it's fine; I think that it would work better for hunter class. Some of our club members use HW100's in hunter class and like them.
